I made it.

Did I ever think I would be here? Not in a million years.

Would my younger self be surprised? Absolutely. Proud? I really think so.

It’s funny how life takes you in directions you never expected. I’ve spent so much of my life creating, exploring different mediums, changing directions, and trying to figure out where I belong in the art world.

And somehow, all those twists and turns brought me here. Creating work that feels entirely my own and sharing it with people who genuinely appreciate it.

I don’t think I’ve made it in the sense that I’m finished growing. Far from it. But I’ve made it to a place where I’m doing something I truly love, and that’s worth celebrating.

I think my younger self would be pretty excited to see what we’re up to these days.

It’s needlepoint, but probably not the kind you’re thinking of… I create contemporary fiber art, entirely by hand, one stitch at a time. No patterns, no predetermined designs, just color, texture, and whatever direction my imagination decides to take me.

It’s a traditional technique with a very different approach, and I’m always curious to see where it takes me next.

So, what do you think? Is this what you pictured when I said needlepoint?

A BIG thank you for all the love and support this season at the Vail Farmers Market!

What a summer! I went into this season not knowing quite what to expect, and I’m walking away with so much more than I could have imagined. From the people who stopped to chat and ask about my process, to those who took a piece of my artwork home, to the familiar faces who came back week after week, you all made this season something truly special.

Getting to share something I love so much with all of you has been an absolute joy. I’ve made wonderful friends, met incredible people, and created memories I’ll carry with me for years.

Thank you for making space for my art in your lives. It means the world to me.

Until next time, Vail!

A little reminder that beautiful things take time.

And sometimes a ridiculous amount of it.

There’s something I love about the simplicity of needlepoint. Just a needle, thread, canvas, and an idea that may or may not turn into what I imagined.

The ideas come faster than I can stitch, but I think that’s part of the magic. There’s always something new waiting to be made, and I’m never quite sure where it’s going to take me.

Here’s to making things simply because we love making them.

A little art talk with the lovely Ashleigh Cochran. We’re chatting about her creative process, her beautiful work, and why bringing original art into a home is one of my favorite parts of design.

So fun getting to know the artist behind these colorful little gems. by @ashleighco.studio

I’m an artist, but I’m also… a lot of things.

And maybe that’s why the work never really ends.

Every part of my life finds its way into what I create somehow—the places I’ve been, the things I love, the people I’ve met, the mountains, the horses, the quiet moments, the chaotic ones, and all the ideas constantly bouncing around in my head.

Being an artist is a huge part of who I am, but all those other little pieces of me are what make the art mine.

So yes, Vail Farmers Market season may officially be over…but apparently I’m nowhere near done creating.

Last Vail Farmers Market tomorrow.

What a season it has been. I’m so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to show up each weekend, share my work with you, and spend my Sundays doing something that has brought me so much joy.

I’ve met so many wonderful people, made friendships I know will last far beyond this season, and connected with so many of you who stopped to look, ask questions, share a story, take a piece home, or simply tell me you’ve been following along.

I really can’t say thank you enough. 🫶

So, one last Sunday in Vail! Come say hi, see the work, and help me celebrate the end of a season I’ll never forget.

I’m Jane Doe. Enough is enough is. by @ashleighco.studio

The artist vs. the art. 🧵🎨

A little chaotic behind the scenes. A little more put together once it makes it onto the wall. 😂

Every piece starts with me, a blank canvas, a pile of thread, and usually only a vague idea of where I’m going. No pattern, no exact plan—just a lot of stitching and trusting the process.

And somehow, we end up here. 🫶
