26.07.29수 [the arts!!!]
i forget the exact quote but there’s some saying that encountering art reminds you to think beyond your current life and they’re ! so !! right !!! because whether it’s soaking in a full orchestra or a rooftop with groovy music or crying during a musical or feeling a songwriter’s ache everything just feels so so deeply human in both the everyday way and the majestic, awe-inspiring way.

what an honor to take in the arts and have friends who are in it. what an absolute delight to be moved again and again by a work of art, of music, of a moment of connection through peoples’ creation. by @ashley.assorted

26.06.20토 [yellow day]
it’s the day before the summer solstice which is also yellow day (ty lsf yunjin for the yearly post) so here’s some recent yellows that are mostly also nearby orange and blue because of the knicks

my voice stood no chance with the finals + world cup overlapping but im also having lots and lots of fun!! 2026 truly is the year sports ashley is finding herself and it’s been heaps of fun watching and cheering with friends new and old

buuuut at the same time it means that half of the year has already passed which feels odd, too… by @ashley.assorted

26.06.01월 [books!!]
got a call that my ordered book arrived and picked up a bonus pickle book and almost skipped out of the bookstore and just finished “break room” which was such a delight and just !! wow books !!! wonderful wonderful things 🥹

i could see “break room” get translated into a mini series and would enjoy it in a visual format as well. the author’s note at the beginning also made me giggle while make me reflect on the slightly uncomfortable frustrating moments of sudden emotion (probably anger) at little things. it truly is a book most folks can resonate with and is a quick but fun read and the length feels fitting: not too long or too short. would also want to try to read in the original korean as well someday.

+ some other books i’ve read recently and a snippet of a reading recap letter to a friend (wheee electronic correspondence!) as well 🫧

yay books !! by @ashley.assorted

26.05.08금 [그냥 things]
saw a post like we gotta use instagram like we used to and share random things and stop being so slick about it so here’s recent pictures of things i thought were odd or amusing and worth saving as an image

that being said i miiiight use some for some writing cause come on, they work so well as phrases:

lilac crocs || melted gummy bears || goose in a bar || waffle on the go || library signs

it’s almost its own little poem 🫧 by @ashley.assorted

26.03.25수 [names???]
what’s in a name anyway!! why not change it (again) in a new city and in a new chapter, right?? ㅎ

tysm @noremi.wav for inviting me to sing in celebration of your album !! it’s been a busy time ft existential crisis but having friends gently remind me that yes i can also do creative things has been good for me, more than i expected.

show info @cutelab_nyc 💫 and will also be featuring @llvx.o ✨

and shout out to the pals who have seen all the previous names i’ve tried out as a singer songwriter!! who knows if aeshulli will stick or if saenabi will return but why not try, eh? 🫧 by @ashley.assorted
