Before starting this contract, I was in a constant state of trying to figure out what the industry needed me to be. Feeling overwhelmingly behind and doubting if my art or myself would ever be enough.
6 weeks of A Chorus Line, one of the most influential and special shows to be a part of, with @thejoshwalden
and this incredible company have taught me that all we can do is be ourselves. That’s what the industry needs! Stay curious, be childlike, laugh contagiously, TAKE CARE of each other, work hard, and always be kind.
I’ll carry every dance step and word of this beautiful piece of art with me always!

Kristine - thank you for reminding me to stay weird, be goofy, hold on to your grit, and to believe in yourself. Also teaching me that I can make some very wild vocal note choices :). I can’t wait until we meet again! Maybe Zach and Larry will hire us next time.

Broadway By The Year: The History of Song & Dance✨

I’m always grateful for any opportunity to perform, but especially when it is with incredible humans like these. I can’t brag enough on the kindness, talent, and fierceness of this cast. I love dancing and learning with every one of you!

Last week we welcomed the tiniest New Yorker to the world!

Highlights: Watching my husband and best friend since 19 become a dad. Watching our OG boy lick our new baby’s toes. The wonders of the female body. Baby hiccups. The newborn scrunch.

MOMEN & friends 4th edition ✨
It has taken me a week to even begin to process this past weekend.
@alblackstonechoreo & @abrahamlule thank you for trusting me to be part of this incredible community and space you have created @momenyc. The community you have built and brought together is a testament to who you are as human beings. I’m so inspired by you both!
The past 5 years have been trying for me as a dancer. I have felt like an intruder. I lost confidence, a sense of belonging, joy, and only listened to the inner critic in my head. I became fixated on becoming a perfected product of what I assumed the industry wanted me to be.

I look back now, and instead I see that the universe actually put people and experiences in my life to keep me dancing during difficult times. This weekend was one of those moments! Thank you, universe. I was able to explore dance again, something I haven’t done or felt in so long. It was the loveliest of feelings, even if I did do time steps every time I had to improvise! I got out of my comfort zone and learned a lot. I felt feelings I haven’t felt in a long time, and I thanked myself and told myself how proud I was. Something I’m not sure if I have ever done and meant it. Overall, I began to fall in love with myself as a dancer again. I felt inspired by the dancers around me. I didn’t have to think about smiling or performing, because the smile and emotions were too big to hide. I let go of perfectionism and just danced. I couldn’t have done that without this community!

This community reminded that it’s ok to be me—that the essence of why we dance is what really matters. I am enough. You are enough. We are all enough. We are more capable than we think, and we are all constantly growing and learning. Together we inspire and create magic. Just like all of those who have come before us and those who will come after us.
Dance is a super power!✨

Thank you to these joyful and inspiring teachers who created such a wonderful space to learn and grow!
