“No Sabo” is the incorrect way to say “I don’t know.”

In the Latin community, “No Sabo” is often used to mock those who can’t speak Spanish fluently. But for most of my life, that incorrect label has been attached to me.

I’m reclaiming that label to show what it truly means to be on the other side of western culture, where the grass is considered to be greener. This photo exhibition is my satirical perspective on growing up American and what that could look like, whether through the lens of cultural expectations or my own experience.

I’ve poured my soul into this one and I hope you stop by the gallery to check it out <3
