Shanghai, Xiè xie 🌆

A picture op at every corner.

Fine China, fine matcha 🍵

Candids at the Shanghai tower. 📸

Coffee with a view. 🏙️

Shanghai was surprisingly green 🌳 🌳 🌳

I walked in to this store in Suzhou, fell in love with this jacket and had to bring it home with me. Go shopping at your own risk in China.

Egg tart of dreams!

The world is in my hands.

Got this qipao (Chinese traditional dress) from a store in Suzhou, a small town just 30 mins from Shanghai. Immediately got back to my hotel and headed out in it. It’s the little things. taken in Shanghai, China by @ashleychilli

This is 10+ years of countless fitness identities and lots of trial and error.

Looking back, every phase taught me something:

🔥 Insanity HIIT workouts
I loved the intensity, but my body didn’t love living in survival mode 🥴

🛋️ No training at all
I felt disconnected from myself. Movement really is medicine for me.

🏠 COVID home workouts
This phase birthed my obsession with @billyblanksofficial1 and @kiaratheleader , and taught me that consistency beats perfection.

🏋🏾‍♀️ Resistance training + cardio
Probably the sweet spot. I felt strong, fit, and energised.

💪🏾 Powerlifting
I discovered just how powerful my body could be. Nothing builds confidence quite like picking up heavy things.

🚶🏾‍♀️ Movement as a lifestyle
This is where I am now. Walking, lifting, dancing, stretching and moving because I love my body, not because I’m trying to punish it.

The biggest lesson? Fitness isn’t one destination. It’s seasons. And every season teaches you something about your body, your mindset, and what actually feels sustainable.

My mum left everything she knew in Kenya to build a better life for me and my sister abroad.

This video is for her and for every immigrant mother whose courage changed the future of her family.

Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

For decades, Black Argentines were left out of the census, and their history out of classrooms.

AJ+ spoke to @afroargentino_x of @afrojus.arg about how a new generation in Argentina is pushing back – reclaiming history, identity and visibility.

For decades, Cuba has been sending thousands of doctors to respond to health crises across the world. ⁣
⁣
But the U.S. is trying to put a stop to that – a move that could have far-reaching impacts across the Global South. ⁣

Thousands of families in one of Lagos’ oldest waterfront communities are losing their homes as the authorities tear them down, critics say to make way for real estate development.

Makoko is one of Africa’s largest waterfront communities and has existed for more than a century.

But in late December, authorities began demolishing thousands of homes there, with little warning to its residents.

Families lost their livelihoods as rising rents and rapid urban expansion are pushing low-income communities to the margins.
