made it here by grace, through faith 🤍

moment of gratitude- i usually keep my captions short, but i owe this testimony to God for all He has done for me. ive been on this journey since 2020. getting into the nursing program during covid was a bittersweet experience, bc as we all know, that was a very hard season for many people, including myself- mentally, emotionally, financially. i didn’t make it past my first semester. i felt so low. i failed myself. how could i let myself down after praying for this? i questioned my purpose and wondered how bad i really wanted this. i realized that although i prayed for it, and God granted me it, my heart and mind were not aligned in the purpose He had for me- i was distracted. so i realigned my mind and heart, asking God for guidance and strength to not take this as a failure, but as an intentional part of my testimony to propel me further and to challenge myself to keep going and not stop. in brief, i took a different route than i expected, but He already knew where i was headed. i completed my LPN program 2022, got my first nursing job with amazing people, within 6ms came right back into the RN transition program all the while continuing to work in the field, learning how to advocate for the LPN role, getting into my dual enrollment bachelors program online, and now finally being a graduate may of 2024. i have learned and keep on being reminded that God’s plan is better than my own. my place in life today is in fact not for today but for tomorrow. for the next after me. to be the person I needed when i was in that same place.
if you’ve made it this far reading, thank you. i want to leave you with this- your journey is YOUR journey- not to be compared or limited in time. with that ownership should come the pride of your hardships and your wins. but note, that nothing in this life is a failure, but a testimony to share of where you’ve been and where you’re going. &if you haven’t heard it today, im proud of you 💛

thank you to all the friends and family that have supported me the whole way, and continue to be here for the next chapter. i love you and appreciate you.
