The happiest boy I’ve ever known, you made our days so much better. My heart breaks that we had to say goodbye to you last week. You fought cancer as long as you could and were still so happy and playful despite your body failing you. I have peace knowing you’re no longer in pain and are in heaven with Abby and Grandma Sue. It’s been two weeks since my life changed in the blink of an eye. Losing you has turned my world upside down. I don’t think I’ve come to terms that at the age of 30, I now have to live the rest of my life without my mom. You were the most beautiful woman in the world to me. You were so incredibly talented and gifted with everything you did and created. I’m so thankful for the time we did have together on this earth and the memories we made together. Two weeks ago today we had to make the hardest decision to say goodbye to my best friend, my childhood pet and soul dog. We grew up together. She has been with me through so many important moments throughout my life, graduating high school, going to college, moving twice across the country, and getting married. She lived a long happy life during her 17 years on this earth and I’m so thankful for all the memories we made together. My heart aches everyday seeing her favorite spots in our home that are now empty, but she’s in a better place now. We miss you so much Abby, you were the best dog I could have ever asked for. Rest easy sweet girl.

Today we celebrated Abbys 17th birthday!! She’s been with me for over half my life and words can’t express how much joy and happiness she brings me. I feel extra thankful she’s doing so well after recently going through a major tumor removal surgery and getting an unexpected clean bill of health (no cancer!🙌🏻) Here’s some photos we took of her today along with some photos from the first day we got her🤍 by @ashleykallberg

Today marks 1 year working at @maufrais.austin making peoples hat dreams come true! It’s crazy how fast this year has gone by and I’m so thankful for this year of growth, experiences and incredible friendships! It’s truly been a blast! taken in Maufrais by @ashleykallberg

(3/3) It was also a big year for Lopez, after 15 years in the Army he landed a dream job in the tech industry here in Austin. We were also blessed to be able to build a house together here, gained another niece named Lainey and I ran another half marathon with my best friend back home. Overall it was an incredible year of change for the both of us. We can’t wait for what 2023 will bring and wish all our friends and family a Happy New Year! by @ashleykallberg

(2/3) I also had the craziest opportunity to travel all the way to Italy with 17 women I barely knew, but by the end of the trip we were the best of friends. This is a trip that I will always remember for the rest of my life, I miss you girls so much! 🇮🇹❤️ taken in Rome, Italy by @ashleykallberg
