If you told me nine months ago today that I’d be a mom, I’d honestly think you were a crazy liar. It’s funny how God works. I used to say my testimony was boring and God was VERY quick to humble me. We sometimes think that we will never struggle or fall. Until one day, you find yourself in a deep hole you dug yourself into forgetting how you even got there. I was once in that hole. Feeling confused, lost, broken, and hurt. It felt like everywhere I turned sank me deeper and deeper. And the deeper I sank, the further from God I grew. So I looked toward the world thinking it would save me. Indulging myself in sexual immorality, lust, gossip, unforgiveness, drunkenness, etc. All desperate attempts to chase validation, acceptance, and confidence. It wasn’t until I remembered who my God is and began to seek Him and His voice that I was steadily pulled out from that hole. The small moments I began to pray, be obedient, and run to God is when He started to lift me out of darkness. Those small moments grew into big moments because I CHOSE to consistently obey him. And in return God blessed me with His eternal peace, love, joy, healing, forgiveness, HIS validation, HIS acceptance, and HIS confidence. My God is so good that he blessed me with life during a time where I was spiritually dead. Thinking back to when I couldn’t find a way out, there always was. The only way out is through JESUS! (John 14:6) When you look anywhere else you’ll be met with disappointment, betrayal, and wickedness. Jesus is the only redeemer and Jesus can heal you the same way he has healed me! I’m not perfect, but Jesus is and by his blood we are made new and perfect in his image (2 Corinthians 5:17). He sees your beauty, not your mistakes. He sees your future, not your past. He calls you by your name, not your sin. God is waiting for you to turn to him with your burdens. Do you want to be restored? Do you want to be healed? Do you want to live for a greater purpose? Jesus is the answer. He gave me my babygirl Hope and a future that I joyfully look toward each day, and He is waiting to give you yours (Jerimiah 29:11)🩷 by @ashleylowell_

Dear Michael, I never expected that we would loose you soon. I wish I was able to spend even more time with you, share more laughs with you, and hug you a little longer. You are a role model for me, more than just my cousin but my Godfather also. I look up to how generous, humble, hard working, and selfless you are. You have the heart of an Angel and now you actually are one🕊️. I know you’re looking down on all of us, protecting us like you always have. The life you lived was beyond successful and I’m proud of you for all you accomplished. Life doesn’t get easier without you here. We are all hurting. Thank you for shining your light on us and for making us laugh and smile. You are a man of honor, intelligence, and respect and because of that I learned what qualities a real man has.
