Ashley Luke Lloyd is a northern actor working internationally across musical theatre, television, film, and voice-over. His first professional role on stage was in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Whistle Down the Wind, and he then went on to play Michael in Billy Elliot as a member of the original cast. Over the last 20 years, his other musical theatre credits include Dreamgirls, starring alongside Amber Riley (Glee), Mamma Mia!, Jesus Christ Superstar, and A Chorus Line.

His TV credits include Hollyoaks, Doctors, and Waterloo Road, and he’s also worked with renowned directors such as Danny Boyle, Erik Knudsen, and Amy Heckerling on the feature films Millions, Goodwin Island, and I Could Never Be Your Woman. Ashley is also a highly-skilled choreographer, dancer, and singer. Ashley is delighted to join the talented cast and Team of Trompe l’Oeil. by @ashleylukelloyd

🛸SHOWBACK👽
Recently I visited @pineappledancestudios the fab Covent Garden hub of Dance 🕺 🪩 & it brought back so many memz from my days in my early 20’s.
21 year old me, when I was part of the most fun production “Loserville” at West End’s Garrick Theatre, the show was coming to an end and everyone was talking about a BBC show that was having an open call for resident backing dancers for a series called “Let’s Dance” for Comic Relief.

As a musical kid I thought my chances were thin, but went for the free class… turned into an absolute magic time dancing LIVE on air to millions of people on Saturday Nights! And meeting a lifelong friend and inspiration - our associate choreographer @lemonfuller

Recently, I came across some footage and had to share with you. Two fabulous numbers hilariously wonderful @kathbum & our champion the talented gorgeous and kind @antonycotton MBE. 👑

It was a whirlwind and I met so many lovely friends and lots of showbiz royalty. Had such a laugh and experienced dancing for live television. It happened so quickly and we lived fully in the moment but it’s so great to reflect on such joyous moments…. Here’s two absolute bangerz!!!🎩

P.s today I start teaching / choreo for the fabulous @stepbystepschoolofdancex summer dance camp and brings a huge smile that today we dance we move and we play…. 🕺🙌🏼
