If you’ve ever driven home from Round Top wishing you didn’t have to leave, this one’s for you. 🌾

6389 Miller Road is thirty acres in New Ulm, 20 minutes from the antique fields. There are hay fields, old oaks, and deer wandering through at dusk. The house was redone by M. Naeve, and it’s every bit as beautiful as you’d hope. The pool and spa sit right off the porch. My favorite part is the old schoolhouse that was moved onto the land and turned into a guest studio, with light pouring through a translucent barn door.

It’s about an hour and a half from Austin, and it already comes with conceptual drawings by Ruard Veltman for a bigger main house someday.

Weekend mornings at the fields, afternoons by the pool, and a sky full of stars at night. I could get used to that.
