WAIT UNTIL THE END 💀

with the house painted black, it was a must, would you agree ?! ⬇️

BUT NOW I NEED TO KNOW, do we add more !? 👀

all materials used for the DIYs are from @kentbuildingsupplies including that ground breaker monster sized skeleton & all of his smaller friends 💀

Does this mean I need to give out full sized chocolate bars or?! 🍫🎃👻💀

SURPRISE MAKEOVER 🦋✨

it started as a vision, then life forced everything to stop.

…now we’re bringing that vision back to life, in honour of someone incredibly special to us.

And ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
I’m so happy with how this turned out & so are my parents 🎉
It’s wild what some paint, moulding and a new beautiful (safer) railing can do, isn’t it ?

A huge thank you to our favourite home supply store @kentbuildingsupplies, for helping us bring this project back to life.
We’ve shopped there for our projects for years, so getting to work with them on one that means this much to us feels pretty special.🤍

Make sure you’re following along because you’re REALLY not going to want to miss what we’re doing next 👀

quick question :
this should be a series, shouldn’t it ? 🙃

BACKYARD MAKEOVER ✨

The Rose Retreat - Part 8 🌸

WHAT DO YOU THINK ?! 👀⬇️

This sunroom has always been one of my favourite spots in the house, and now it overlooks all the hard work we’ve put into our backyard so far this year.

All materials used, including the SICO paint, faux boxwoods panels, tiles and even the furniture, is from our favourite go to @kentbuildingsupplies.

My project list for the backyard is still not done and neither, so stick around because you aren’t going to want to miss what’s next 👀✨

can we just chill for a second ?

it’s hard to believe this backyard was just weeds and a collapsed old pool less than 12 weeks ago.
A little health hicup happened these past couple of weeks, but don’t worry, there is so much more coming up 👀

what do you think so far ? 🌸✨🌱

Is this thing magic? 🪄

Because what do you mean I can design and print my own light switches?! 😲

It’s surprisingly easy to use, prints ridiculously fast, and the quality still blows my mind every time.

I never thought I’d use the Bambu Lab P2S as much as I do, but at this point I’m over here printing something new every chance I get.

Now tell me… what should I print next? 👀

BACKYARD MAKEOVER✨

I don’t want to tute my own horn but I think we nailed it.

This HOFT system solution from @kentbuildingsupplies was insanely easy to install and that’s coming from a couple of DIY’er who have never put up a fence before 🤓

Privacy for us ✔️
Peace for the neighbours ✔️
The garbage cans finally have somewhere to live✔️

…and not to be dramatic but I now want it ALL around my house, 10 out of 10 recommended.

I’m speechless, and we all know that doesn’t happen often 😅

TELL ME, What do YOU think ? ⬇️

Make sure you’re following along to see what’s next at the Rose Retreat, you won’t want to miss it 🌸👀

Project Women’s Wall updated 👀
…with the help of our trusty @mileseeytools XTAPE1 of course 💪

She is small but mighty and having multiple measuring functions in one tool has made our projects a whole lot easier.

Comment XTAPE1 and I’ll send you the details ✨

So what do you think of the additional frames ? 🖼️

It’s still a work in progress while I collect more frames but I’ve learned that the best homes are collected over time, not rushed.

BACKYARD MAKEOVER ✨

Holy 💩🎾🎾.

I picked the heatwave to tackle this part but wasn’t it worth it !
These babies are going to grow into a wall of hydrangeas and I CAN’T WAIT 💃

Okay, now, honest question :

what do we think about painting the exterior of the pool?

TELL ME ⬇️
….because I’ve been scheming.

BACKYARD MAKEOVER✨

it’s coming along but my list is long and this place is going to look unrecognizable 👀

Did you know @kentbuildingsupplies has a VERY massive garden center?
It’s where I buy everything for all of my DIYs so it’s quite fitting that it’s also the place I go for everything backyard too 🥕🥬🥒🫛

We’ve got veggies, climbing roses and a ton of hydrangeas and we are just getting started.

The Rose Retreat 🌸 is underway and you don’t want to miss what’s next.

Okay, now give me all of your planting advice ⬇️ by @ashleyrosep

BACKYARD MAKEOVER ✨

Have you ever installed a pool before ?!

So far, the garden boxes are done, the climbing roses are planted, the new pool is installed and the forest is cleaned up and ready to become something straight out of a European postcard 🌳🌸🪴🌷

Unfortunately, we got a little carried away and added a few more projects to the list, so we’re nowhere near done yet 🙃

But more importantly….

Did you know you can purchase a whole pool and have it on your doorstep within a few buisness days ? 💦

We went with the 27 foot “Montage” model from @poolsuppliescanada. The dark charcoal finish was all I needed to see to know it would be perfect with our black house 🏠

If you’re in the market for a new pool too, make sure to use my discount : ASHLEYROSE

Stay tuned for The Rose Retreat PART 5️⃣ !

BACKYARD MAKEOVER✨

Was this a mistake ?

My body tells me yes.
My brain says JUST YOU WAIT.

The Rose Retreat 🌸 PART 3 !

My vision is a European vacation in my backyard🌳

What does that mean ? ⬇️

a pergola, an enchanted forest, climbing roses, an irresponsible number of hydrangeas oh and a new pool ?

why yes.

Will I also be be making financially questionable decisions on outdoor things for the foreseeable future ?

obviously 😎

We’re going for unrecognizable, you in ?
