Another piece from my AP 3D Art Portfolio! Sorry that it’s gruesome, it’s supposed to really catch the viewers’ attention and just allow for observation of the now-lifeless cow’s emotion. My whole portfolio centered around the goal to portray a vegan’s perspective on the natural world!🌲🪺

The first of many pieces from my AP 3D Art Portfolio! 🐠🥽🌊

This piece is a wearable 🙈💃🏼 top made out of Saran Wrap and packaging tape. I cut up random trash from my recycling bin
and sculpted some clay fish to add the finishing touches. I really wanted this piece to look like water, but also like a conglomerate of trash that accumulates in the sea and adversely affects marine life. Since my concentration (fancy word for theme 🫢) was about veganism and how humanity’s indulgences negatively affecting the environment, I thought this was ‘fitting’ 👗 - HA, GET IT?

A piece from my AP 2D Art Portfolio last year! I was attempting to use visual references to Neverland to express the myriad of feelings one goes through while growing up and ‘swimming away’ from youth to have a more worldly perspective (a wider lens on life 📸🌅)

“When Should I Get Off” — an acrylic painting from AP 2-D Studio Art last school year.

This piece was inspired by a dream I had in which I was floating down a white-water rapid in the arctic. Surrounded by large glaciers and nothing to grip onto, I couldn’t escape the treacherous waters. I felt that the stressful environment within this dream was symbolic of a situation ‘moving too fast’ — in which one does not have enough time nor the resources to escape an escalating issue. 🌊🗻

Storm of Stress 📘🌪📄📰📃📑🗞

I created this piece with the intent to convey how sometimes my peers and I become so overwhelmed — not just from academic work — but also from the social expectations within one’s school life as they progress through adolescence.

I actually really enjoy learning and doing something great with others with the knowledge I’ve gained, but I wanted to shed light on how some feel like their academic standing is in a downward spiral 🌪 — although, sometimes this stressful, accumulating storm can become motivation for the birth of new habits and a healthier lifestyle.

“When Life’s Gives Lemons”… turn the sunset into an orange 🍊🌅 lol

I really love how simplistic yet soothing this piece is. To me, the citrus sunset’s reflection on the water’s surface is a visual metaphor for the sentiment that unfortunate, “sour” events can precipitate beautiful, “sweet” outcomes.

Arctic Reflections ✨🗻

I completed this piece actually quite a while ago, but I wanted to share it here! :)

I don’t want to explain the meaning of this one because I feel that the meaning can remain as powerful as the colors’ vibrance if it is left up to interpretation.
