I saw a vulnerable post yesterday from @crafttochrist and realized that there are probably so many people feeling this way right now. Spoke with a good friend after making this song and they were having the same feelings. We wrestle not against flesh and blood. The war goes on in our hearts and minds daily. The enemy plants seeds of doubt and confusion. And many times it's just apart of us being in the flesh. Whatever the case, every day isn't our best day. If every day was the best, then how would we truly know how to appreciate the best? This faith is tried by fire.

These songs aren't just for me. They're for the body of Christ. They're not monotone or one single genre. They're made to speak the heart of so many people who love God yet don't always have words to say how they feel. For those who sometimes feel like Joseph in the pit or the prison. For those who feel like Jonah in the belly of the whale or Jonah running from his calling. And for those who feel like the Israelites after rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem.

One of my favorite things about the bible is that no one is hiding in it. There are some holy men but only one perfect man. Many contributers but only one author. We get to see King David's struggle. Moses' fear and self doubt. Paul's initial hatred for the people of God. Peter's denial of Jesus juxtaposed with Judas' betrayal. Jesus weeping and pleading with God for what he knew he must do.

My heart is for the Daily Bread Music Series to express the breadth and depth of emotion and experience that comes with walking with God. It is encouraging to know that we can give our imperfections, weaknesses, and emotions to God who never rejects us for our humanity. He meets us in the moments and loves us deeply. We don't have to be perfect for a perfect God. We just have to be sincere and humble at his feet. We have to be open to allow His grace and Spirit to work out the kinks in us and love us through it all. We just have to be willing to tell the truth and confess from our heart... "Lord, I need You."

I see now. People don't really care about kids or genocide. They just hate Trump and Israel. Got it. But can we put down the politics for a minute and actually be humans fighting for humans and human rights? We are preoccupied with all the wrong things. And I'm not saying I got it all together, yet there are three things I know...

The old me would never have started this "Daily Bread" project. I would've let the fact that I can't make sure every one of these songs are mixed and mastered by a professional stop me from ever getting started. Now, I'm just doing the best that I can with each song and believing God that it is good enough. Someday, I'll be able to afford the investment of professional audio engineering for this entire project. Until then, I'm going to press on and make the best of my equipment and my abilities. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve God with my gifts. As this new month begins, week 5 of the Daily Bread is up next. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PRAY FOR IRAN!!!🙏🏼✝️🔥 While we protest freely, their government is slaughtering thousands of Iranians DAILY for protesting!!! These people are being brutalized and the media won't even talk about it!!! Unspeakable crimes are being committed against the people of Iran! As Americans, we couldn't begin to imagine what they're going through. Iranians are searching for their loved ones amongst piles and piles of bodies, many of which are mutilated beyond recognition.

The people of Iran just want to be free of their terroristic government. That is all. We think we know something about what it's like to be oppressed and victimized by the government while we live on one of the most privileged and free countries on the planet. If we truly care about human life and we mean what we say about democracy and freedom, and protecting foreigners and strangers then the people of Iran should be at the forefront of our mind!

Too many people rely on someone to virtue signal to them when to stand up for a cause. Are we waiting for a political pundit to offer an Iranian flag pin or ribbon to stick to their shirt to show their support for our neighbors? Stop waiting and use your voice NOW! Use your voice TODAY!

I STAMP!!! This is BIG FACTS!!! 🎯 Extremely well said. It's hard to get to know someone who only knows a fake version of themself. It takes a certain amount of wisdom and discernment not to get lost in their delusion and become a prisoner to their mask. It takes even greater wisdom and discernment to never even get involved with them. This Daily Bread was inspired by the Beatitudes of Matthew 5:3-10. It's so encouraging to see the way Jesus describes those who are blessed because it completely contradicts the world's view of what it means to be blessed. This world identifies blessings by materialism, popularity, social status, and other superficial factors. However, the way Jesus describes the blessed paints a completely different picture. He said blessed are the poor in spirit, those who mourn, those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, the pure in heart, those who hunger and thirst to do what is right, the merciful, the meek, and the peacemakers!

This is a truly beautiful contradiction that shows us the character of God and the merits that are found worthy in His Kingdom. This is not to say that material things and superficial things can't be blessings. This is to say that those are not the blessings that last eternally. Power, status, possessions, and worldly success are all temporal in nature. I pray this encourages you to focus on the things of heaven that are eternal.

Next time you mourn, remember God's comfort. The next time you feel lowly, remember that God will exalt you for eternity. The next time you try to make peace with others and it fails, remember that God said you are His child regardless. The next time you want to seek vengeance, remember that those who show mercy will be shown mercy. Write this scripture on the tablet of your heart.

Be not conformed to the patterns and thinking of this world. Rather, let your mind be transformed daily and renewed by the word of God, which is beneficial for teaching, reproof, and setting things straight so that we may be equipped for every good work. Thank you, Father God, for your wisdom and understanding that brings peace, comfort, joy, and strength where we least expect it.✝️❤️🔥 by @ashleysnoreborn
