Happy Friday book besties 🦋

I am currently reading “the knight and the moth” by @rmgillig and I am already enjoying it so much. In fact, as soon as I got home from taking my kids to school, I started reading. Which is a big deal for me as I haven’t been reading much. So I think I’m finally out of the woods 😭 Also, I am a sucker with anything that involves gargoyles so this duology is right up my alley.

QOTD: what is on your autumn TBR list? Any spooky, gothic or cozy reads you’d recommend?
I’m looking to read books that have all the spooky season vibes. 👻

I also want to thank every single one of you for all of the sweet comments you left on my previous post. Yall really know how to make a lady feel good.

Last but not least, let’s not forget how significantly important today is. 9/11 is something that will never leave the forefront of my mind. I’m sending my love to the victims, heroes, as well as the families who lost someone on that day. You will never be forgotten. 🤎🍂

GOODBYE summer & HELLO spooky season 🧙🏼‍♀️

It’s officially Halloween in my house and your girl couldn’t be happier. While most people look forward to summer, I come alive during the months of September-December.
Autumn/halloween is when I truly feel the most myself. From going to the pumpkin patch, halloweentown and spirit halloween. To decorating my house, dressing up in costumes and eating /baking all of the halloween goodies, i live for it all.

One of my favorite traditions is rewatching my favorite seasons of AHS, as well as every single halloween movie with my kids.
I can’t wait to do all of my favorite autumn things and make more memories with my little family.

What are you guys looking forward to the most this season? Do you have any fun traditions you like to do every year to help celebrate?

hi, remember how i finished a book last month and said i was out of my reading slump? well i lied cause I haven’t read a book since 😩

but i have today & tomorrow off and i am FORCING myself to get out of it and what better way to do that than with a dark romance? maybe even a monster romance also?

cannot wait to start “all your bloody lies” by @mlburns_author (and look at how hot the cover is 🥵)

I haven’t had a lot of time to read lately, but what I have read of these two books so far, I have really enjoyed. 🩶

What are you currently reading? Are you enjoying it?

It’s just me and my two youngest at home while the rest of the family are out of town. I have loved being home with my babies (we’ve been watching a lot of movies and eating junk food. My girls are in heaven lol ) but look forward to getting back to work and my routine.

Also, is anyone watching house of the dragon? If so how are you liking it? I am personally LOVING this season. Nothing brings me more joy then having rhaenyra and daemon back on my screen.

currently reading & a few life updates 🌱

after not reading a single page for the last three weeks, i have finally started book two in the plated prisoner series, “glint”. I have thought about these characters every single day since finishing the first book and i cannot wait to be back in this world.

now for the life updates, first, my kiddos are out of school for the summer (thank the universe) and it feels so nice not to have to set an alarm so early in the morning for a couple months lol.
we celebrated my daughters tenth birthday and had the most fun day spoiling our girl.
and last but not least, i started a new job the beginning of this month and im liking it so far. as much as I loved being a stay at home mom, having a job is so good for my mental health. as moms we tend to lose ourselves in motherhood and it feels good having something that is just for me. to those I have already told about my new job, thank you so much for being so supportive and uplifting, you ladies are truly such gems. 💛

ALSO, HAPPY HOUSE OF THE DRAGON DAY TO THOSE WHO CELEBRATE. I’m so excited to have my babies rhaenyra and daemon back on my screen. and as always, team black forever 🖤🐉🩸

June has always been one of my favorite months, end of school year, my daughters birthday, fathers day and last but not least, pride month. Some of the sweetest and most beautiful souls I have
ever met are in the LGBTQIA2S+ community, so any reason to celebrate them makes me so incredibly happy.
It’s so crazy to me that it bothers people seeing those love who they love. Why are we still shaming these individuals for being who they truly are in 2026. I’ll never understand homophobia or transphobia, but just know that if you are in this community, you are accepted and loved by me.

💓💓💓💓

In honor of it being mental health awareness month, I thought i would choose a stack of books that i feel best represents mental health.
The characters in these books are so inspirational and make me feel like if they can get through hard battles, then so can i.

I have dealt with mental health issues my entire life (depression, anxiety, BPD & BD) all deep rooted from trauma i have endured during my life (mostly childhood). Trauma I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

Besides taking medication, I have a good support system who make me feel like I am easy to love even on the days when I feel like im not the easiest to love.
It has taken me until my mid 30’s to find a solid group of friends who support me through everything. Who are always there when I need someone to talk to and keep me straight. Who check on me when I get quiet and reassure me that im never alone.

Mental health is not always easy but it is manageable when you have good people in your life.

If you struggle with any sort of mental illness and ever feel like you need someone to talk to, my DMs are always open. I will never judge and only support you.

& remember, it’s okay not to be okay. 🧠 I love you all
