My Dad ❤️‍🩹

There are no words to be said that could justify this past year without you. Everyday hurts just as much as the day I was told you were gone. The ache in my heart and my stomach are permanently etched in there forever like the drop you feel on a roller coaster. Every time I hear your name, see your pictures, hear your voice, or speak of you… it hurts just the same. That pit in the back of my throat will never go away.

I spend countless days longing for you, wishing you were still here. Wishing I could call you on the phone and hear your voice just one last time. Now I spend countless days talking to the sky & whispering to you in my dreams. You’re everywhere and no where at the same time and it’s been the most difficult task I’ve ever had to overcome. Honestly - I hope I never do because if this year has taught me anything it’s that “grief is just a whole lot of love with nowhere to go” and my love for you exists beyond the measures of time and reality.

Happy 1 year in Heaven. There is so much I could say but I’ll save it for my morning car rides with you. I can’t wait to see you again, Dad. Until next time - I hope no time passes at all ❤️‍🩹
