Now we honor one of the creators who helped shape the world of REBIRTH - an artist, curator, and producer of this immersive experience.

@saterishamiran transforms forgotten materials into soulful, functional works of art. Born and raised in Iran, she lived a secret life as an underground DJ and rebellious artist, fighting for freedom of expression — especially for women. After winning the U.S. visa lottery, she left everything behind to start a new life grounded in creation, healing, and community.

Her work breathes new life into discarded objects, turning metal scraps, unwanted objects, and discarded materials into soulful, one-of-a-kind functional art into meaningful pieces that light up both space and spirit. Each creation is a testament to resilience, transformation, and the beauty of what once was.

Since arriving in the U.S., Shamiran has continued DJing, co-curating variety of events, and helping bring bold visions to life through hands-on building projects.

My work - “Art Bombs”, as I call them - are radiant detonations of color that boldly explore the intersections of sex, violence, and beauty in a collapsing world where the only antidote is art & love.

Sometimes triggering, my aim is to provoke conversation and inspire change. Every piece borrows from the echoes of those who came before as an act of reverent rebellion.

stevage is a Los Angeles-based DJ with a passion for driving deep/afro house. His musical journey began at an early age, gaining foundations in music theory while learning to play piano and alto saxophone. Later, he was inspired by DJ Qbert and the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, a group of Filipino-American turntablists, and their eccentric style for using turntables as instruments.

Soon after that, he began DJing various local gigs in his hometown, San Diego, falling in love with the art of sharing music. Seeking independence, he moved to Los Angeles where he was self-employed throughout college: computer engineer by day, DJ-for-hire by night.

A sojourn to Burning Man: Rites of Passage in 2011 is where his first exposure to the warm inclusivity and thriving community of the international house scene sparked what drives the evolution of his musical style today. Ali Kat is a Las Vegas native who loves calling Joshua Tree her new desert home. Everyone has a story to tell and she chooses to slap and splatter hers on canvas. Inspired by epic music and rad humans, her art expresses her free spirit and wild heart. The beautiful nature she surrounds herself with helps her stay grounded and live a life of gratitude. Based in Long Beach, CA, Leon Donjuan is a multidisciplinary artist whose work reflects a genuine passion for creating experiences that connect, inspire, and resonate. Working across photography, cinematography, and electronic music, Leon crafts immersive projects that speak to both the senses and the spirit.

Known in the underground as Hawkeye, Leon has quietly contributed to shaping Los Angeles’ house music and rave culture over the years. His role has extended beyond performance—he’s made a lasting impact through design and art direction, running his own creative agency, FuturaMedia, and previously serving as art director for Universal Music’s Farm Club TV show on the USA Network. The events he’s helped produce are remembered for their unique energy and commitment to showcasing an eclectic mix of sounds and artists—featuring names like David Mancuso, DJ Harvey, and Theo Parrish, among others—cementing their place in the history of LA’s underground music scene.

At the heart of Leon’s work is a deep interest in the human experience. His photography and film work often explore raw emotion, movement, and the resilience of underrepresented communities. Rather than chasing trends, his work is grounded in authenticity and a drive to tell meaningful stories.
