I’m not a frequent Instagram poster, and I’m definitely not someone who gets online and shares my emotions. But my dad passed away unexpectedly on 9/20/26 from multiple organ failure, and it has been the biggest loss my family and I have ever experienced.

I’ve made it my goal to keep his love, his heart, and who he was alive. I created this video to play at his funeral, and I felt like it needed to be seen by everyone who loved him. It is a true representation of who my dad was.

I also wanted to share a small part of the speech I gave at his funeral, because there will never be enough words to explain who he was to us. 🪽

My dad was our everything. Our rock, our safe place, our protector, our biggest supporter, and our cheerleader. He was the guy you called when you needed anything, and somehow, he always figured it out.

He taught me how to work hard, love deeply, show up for the people I love, and most importantly, how much family matters.

But he never taught me how to live without him.

His girls were his world. I would give anything for one more conversation, one more hug, one more laugh, one more “I love you.”

I feel so homesick for a home that is just gone.

Because my dad was home.

His arms were home. His voice was home. His laugh was home. Knowing I could call him was home.

I wish I had more time. Years more. Decades more. I wish he could have sat in the front row at my wedding, watched my little sisters grow up, and been there for all the moments we haven’t reached yet.

But I’ve learned that the ordinary days were never ordinary at all.

They were everything.

I will carry his strength, his humor, his work ethic, his compassion, and most importantly, his love for his girls. I’ll make sure my sisters always know how deeply their dad loved them.

Dad, I spent my whole life loving you, and I’ll spend the rest of my life missing you.

I hope that in every lifetime, we are your girls. And somehow, in every lifetime, we get you a little longer.

I love you, Dad. Until I see you again.
