It was a pretty sweet deal having our series run alongside the ARCA Menards Series on Friday! We had the chance to meet and chit chat with some drivers before their race. Always cool to see females kicking ass in the racing industry!

This was an absolute DREAM come true if you know me….

For the people who don’t know.. I’m always playing Gretchen Wilsons music, she takes over touchtunes wherever I go, and I always pick one of her songs for karaoke. She is my GIRL. (I actually dressed up like her for Halloween one year lol)

So I surprised my mom with VIP tickets to see Gretchen Wilson last Christmas, as she is our all time favorite. My mom got me hooked on her at the ripe age of 3. I’d watch her music videos on repeat and put on a show and sing her songs for my parents in the shop while my dad was working on race cars. Her songs were on repeat in our household growing up lol.

When I was younger, I always told myself, if I ever were to see Gretchen in concert, I’d be making a certain poster. I didn’t have a care in the world if it was cringe or not. So yes, I did make that damn poster. “Ain’t leaving till Gretchen throws me out” (It goes along with one of her songs) I couldn’t have let my younger self down 🙂.

We show up about 30 minutes before the gates open and a guy was handing out a few meet and greet passes to some people in line and we happened to be in the right place at the right time. I never in my life thought I’d ever get to meet my all time favorite country artist. It was an absolute dream come true. I will never ever forget this moment especially because my mom was able to be apart of it.
