Oh, I have arrived at that point again.

I was a sailor once but perhaps, by now, I have learned to enjoy being a diver; the kind who would rather disappear beneath the sea, nekad berdepan dengan ketakutan demi ketakutan untuk mencari keajaiban, than spend a lifetime wondering what might have been waiting below.

That is how I meet a muse - with a sudden, almost inexplicable urge to change the texture and colour of my days; not quite the same kind of romantic as encountering love. It is something else entirely; the peculiar intimacy of meeting a moment that makes the world feel newly written.

Tiba-tiba, waktu yang biasa berubah menjadi pesta.

Hari-hari yang selama ini hanya berlalu menjadi berwarna, as though they had been quietly waiting for me to notice them, perhaps I had been waiting too, without knowing what for.

Cara ruang berbicara, all the matters time conspires to leave behind, cara tertentu mata memandang sesuatu, even the smallest detail that should mean nothing somehow chooses to stay; language my body seems to understand before my mind does.

I have only just learned to be myself again and somehow my body is already making room for a new story before I even know there is one coming.

But I do not want to possess any of it, aku mahu melepaskannya. Membiarkannya bebas menjadi dirinya sendiri, so that I can stay close to whatever it is without asking it to become anything more.

I do not need to know how it ends, hanya perlu menyerah kepada pertemuan pertemuan begini; membiarkannya mengambil ruang di dalam diri, perlahan-lahan, sedalam-dalamnya, until something in me begins to move again.

There is a strange tenderness in allowing something to pass through you without trying to keep it; to let it alter the way you look at an ordinary afternoon, to let a certain voice linger a little longer than it should, to catch yourself smiling at something no one else would understand.

To have been touched by something, however briefly and to leave the encounter a little different from the person who entered it.

So I will not resist it; I will simply go where it takes me.

I have forgotten how to behave, in the presence of your love, as if I was made to forget gravity whenever you pass through my little orbit.

My heartbeat becomes a little unruly, no longer obedient to time or my own foolish fear of our inevitable perishability.

If you ever ask me what you have done to my heart, I would not know how to explain this beautiful disorder;

this trembling, surrender, strange little miracle of being so completely, helplessly, in love with you.

Today, He seems to know exactly what I needed. Perfect brunch weather, neither hot nor cold; my skin slightly moist, the haze nowhere to be found and the wind - heavenly.

At the venue, satu Malaysia bersatu; faces from different states and colorful pakaian from everywhere, each carrying their own little world. I, of course, missed the memo and arrived in ARR’s favourite colour; all white, from head to toe.

I always tell myself I will speak less, because there are already too many worlds living inside my head that I need to contain, to put them onto paper, but I failed, every single time. I meet people with beautiful jiwa and suddenly I am smiling, listening, asking questions, wanting to know more.

Perhaps this is another thing I am learning about myself; that although I was born restless, I was also born to be moved by people.

Then, there was one of the most memorable moments of this birthday, sitting in my Guru’s library; a 360-degree universe of more than ten thousand books; surrounded by warm lights, just-the-right temperature, baklava, kopi kapal api and tea, talking about civilisations and all the strange, beautiful things that make us human.

There were also, a down to earth Malaysian who happens to pursue her studies at Oxford; a man who built a bookstore that I pray will last through centuries; somewhere between them, this girl born in Ipoh, who happens to share a birthday with Malaysia, listening to her absurd zaman-travelling novel.

Then, there was birthday pizza instead of cake; I think I liked it that way.

I want to say, merci beaucoup for the lovely wish and prayers, families, friends, sweetheart darlings. I pray for P^lestine to be free from kesengsaraan, for this world to be filled with cinta, kedamaian, kebebasan & for everyone that I love to have a great, healthy & eventful life. Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin.

This song appeared at the very last minute, just when I was about to close #AURURAMOREALIS #SangPuteriTerakhir. Kemudian, setelah selesai menulis perenggan terakhir, saya termenung begitu lama.

Puas, sepuas-puasnya.
