I can’t believe I got to spend my morning swimming with pilot whales 🥹🫍

Feeling incredibly lucky to get to share the waters with these majestic creatures!

Thankful for @irukahawaiidolphin for the experience & grateful to @huh_dwight for being brave enough to swim in 1,500 ft of deep-water with me 🫶

From big moves to small joys, 2025 was full of growth, change, and figuring out how to keep showing up for myself. Grateful for the people, places, and moments that helped carry me through. 🤍 Drinking coffee at Lila #coffeeshop in #sandiego by @ashnwilliams

Full send weekends are the only kind of weekends we do ‘round here 🥾⛰️🌌

I couldn’t have asked for a better first backpacking trip with this amazing group of human beings. 🫶 From ice plunge river bathing, to surviving below freezing nights together under the stars, quarter sized blisters, delicious camp meals, and the many miles & thousands of steps we climbed together, we made Yosemite’s backcountry our home for 3 incredible nights.

We did that! 💪

Views from 2024 📸✈️

As the new year approaches, I’ve enjoyed reflecting on this past year, but I find myself admitting my life looks different than I imagined, multiple income streams instead of a career, side hustles, no house ownership nor life abroad yet, and building community through chosen family rather than starting a traditional one. I’ve been caught between feeling overwhelmed by uncertainty as I enter into my 30s and recognizing that there’s more to life than the struggle. That I’m still surviving and finding joy despite it all. Despite the highlight reels and endless comparison to other’s lives online.

Acceptance is the word that comes to mind. I’ve learned to ease into acceptance this year. I remind myself that it is okay to have parts of my life that are incongruous, that not everything is good or bad. In many ways, I’ve had a great year, and in others I’ve had a difficult year.

As we paint the picture that is our lives, we must use shadow to contrast the light. This year has been neither highest of highs (except for hawaii), nor rock bottoms. While I’m quick to compare it to a chiaroscuro, in reality it is more akin to a post-impressionist piece of art. Little dark spots next to light, and when you back up far enough and squint one eye, you see a somewhat pretty scene, a slice of life, a moment in time in which you wish you could stay.

Sometimes in life, we need to let go of what’s holding us back to make room for something new and better. Recently, I faced an unexpected change that prompted me to reassess my path, my role at my company was eliminated due to company restructuring.

While initially I was devastated, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Offering me the chance to pivot towards opportunities that align more closely with my passions and purpose.

Since letting go, I’ve noticed Angel numbers keep appearing almost everywhere I go. A gentle reminder that I’m on the right path, guiding me towards something good and meaningful in my life.

This experience has deepened my practice of mindfulness. Taking time to sit in stillness, reflecting on my journey with gratitude. I acknowledge the fear and uncertainty but also celebrate the courage it takes to embrace change.

Sometimes things don’t go our way or what we think we want doesn’t happen. Letting go isn’t easy, but it’s necessary. It’s about trusting that by releasing the old, we create space for the new. Sometimes the universe sends little signs to let us know we’re exactly where we need to be. ✨

These two years together has taught me so much, but what stands out most is how love means growing together with patience, kindness, and understanding. Cherishing every experience we’ve shared and feeling grateful for this journey together. 🤍 taken in Kaua'i, Hawaii by @ashnwilliams
