I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been accepted into Cohort 8 of Sphinx LEAD with @sphinxorg .

Sphinx LEAD is a two-year leadership program for arts leaders, focused on growth, connection, and building a more inclusive and representative arts field.

This journey really means a lot to me. I’ve been following Sphinx Organization and their impact since college, and it feels special to see things come full circle. Grateful to be learning alongside such an inspiring cohort 🫶🏽.

Here to interrupt your day with a hip, funky bass line. This is very much a work in progress.

Be kind to one another and do something to spark some joy.

🗣️ “SphinxLEAD came into my life at exactly the right moment.”

Ashley Dawson, Cohort 8, has stepped into a new role as Vice President of Marketing at the Santa Barbara Center for Performing Arts | The Granada Theatre.

Through LEAD, Ashley reflects, “The program has challenged me to see myself as a leader — not just someone doing the work, but someone capable of shaping the direction of an organization. It has reinforced that effective leadership is not about having all the answers, but about showing up with intention and surrounding yourself with the right community.”

“The relationships I have built… have been invaluable.”

We’re proud to celebrate this moment and all that’s ahead.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours! 🎄❄️

Miles apart, different states, same song, same love.
Grateful we can still make music and memories together this season.

All of this was planned, learned and recorded within 24 hours. Proof that the best moments don’t need much time, just the right people. ❤️

Picked up some great bargains at the LHCC pop-up mart! No better way to spend the day then around beautiful, creative people who have great taste in music! We even made…no, ‘recognized’ a few friends!

Such an awesome concept and so thrilled to have experienced this day and meet the killer talent that is @hiatuskaiyote. Keep it handsome 💙🤍

Music and creativity are powerful forces that bring joy and inspiration into our lives. But what makes them truly special is having someone to share them with.

Thursday night I was able to share my passion for funk with my colleagues and help curate an evening of pure joy!

Thank you @nikwestbass for bringing the funk to @granadasb! It was so great to finally meet you and to share the stage with you and your incredible band (@davidcollumii, @joeyzguitar, @lorenzocampese, @itskelsiejohnson, @nick.kandelaki). It’s an insane feeling playing with an icon, but it’s even more insane doing it unexpectedly and as your very first performance with a live band! 💜

Most importantly, thank you to my husband @alvindawsonmusic for sharing in my passion, supporting me, and pushing me to go outside my comfort zone. I Love You ❤️

Share your passion, get uncomfortable and live in the moment ✌🏽🎵🎸
