I interviewed @deftones fans about their Deftones tattoos. For 30 years, the White Pony silhouette has been out there moving through the noise and darkness of the world, guiding people towards each other. What does it mean?

Big thanks to @kevinleekharas at @vice for the commission, @ashton.hertz for the excellent photos and thanks to the devotees who chatted with me.

You can read the full article on vice.com and in the magazine. It’s behind a paywall on the site. I just subscribed for £40 for a year (with SUB25 25% off discount code). That’s for four magazines (released quarterly), and full access to the website and documentaries. There’s a digital only subscription too. X
