Happy birthday to our Gram🪽

What I would give for one more game of cards or backgammon, big hug, “how’s my girl?”, FaceTime, visit for a home cooked meal, “food for thought” advice, the “God bless” or “enjoy it” when I shared all of the good things, and all of the amazing things you would say and do with me and then with my babies.

You were truly one of a kind — the glue to our family. You made us all feel so loved and cherished. The memories with you over the years were so special.. from being with you and grandpa all of the time when I was little to spending summers with you in the villages as I got older then becoming a wife + mom and always knowing you’d have some wisdom and encouragement to share to getting to share my babies with you and how you’d always call and want to see, love, and hold them.

It wasn’t enough time together. We all miss you so much and Penelope reminds us of where you are randomly and it’s so sweet to hear her say “Grandma is in heaven with Jesus” 🥹 I hope you always knew how loved you were by me like I knew I was by you. You’re forever missed and always remembered 💛 by @ashtonmdowns

Help me decide!! What length should I cut to or should I just get a little trimmy trim?

My hair grows SO fast. But I don’t think I would look good with super short hair bc it’s thick and curly. Also want to do something that is flattering on my face shape.. lmk your thoughts!

to the mom that cooks for her little one every morning: every day mom tasks can feel mundane, exhausting, & purposeless, but here are some encouraging words that I was reminded of this morning and wanted to share..
- you aren’t alone. you are seen & so so valuable!
- we have the option to pray over this food we are making.. to nourish our babies, to give them energy, etc.
- we get to make the first thing they enjoy + put in their body each day that sets them up for a good start!
- may we be thankful that we have food, babies to feed, and a home to cook and enjoy it all in.
- we can choose to make it with love & intention rather than resenting it or walking through it without thought.
- there is purpose in every little thing we do as mom. it’s truly a blessing!
- on the days you just feel over it.. it’s okay - normal even.. feel that and then choose to focus on the things above after you’ve felt it.. don’t stay there.
