From Chicago’s South Side to the bright lights of Los Angeles, @ashtonxpierce is stepping into the spotlight with the release of his highly anticipated debut EP Under Pressure. The rising singer-songwriter, who many describe as a blend of Mariah Carey and Frank Ocean, is quickly proving himself as one of music’s next breakout stars.

“Someone described my music as Mariah Carey meets Frank Ocean, and that’s the best compliment I’ve received,” says Ashton Pierce. His sound fuses powerful vocal delivery with raw, emotional storytelling—making his artistry both refreshing and timeless.

At just 17 years old, Pierce made the bold move to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams, diving headfirst into the songwriter camp circuit. He later enrolled at the prestigious 1500 Sound Academy, where he studied Music Production and Songwriting under industry icons James Fauntleroy and Lawrence “Rance” Dopson. That foundation gave him the tools to craft music with both commercial appeal and deep authenticity.……..READ MORE #nolazine #nolazinemedia taken in Los Angeles, California by @ashtonxpierce

The best debut male R&B album of 2025 is here.

I started writing these songs in 2022 and I feel—and look like a completely new person now. This project is a coming of age story about navigating heartbreak, hustling, and trying to find moments of fun during chaos. Creating these songs helped me get through a lot and I hope that they help someone else somewhere get through

I want to thank everyone who co-wrote, co-produced, recorded and engineered the project.
Thank you to Olivia—who first inspired me to do music and who inspired a lot of these songs.
Special thank you to the 1500 fam who helped take these songs to the next level.

Lastly, thank you to each and everyone who has supported me on this journey. Every playlister, blogger and listener.

Olivia’s Interlude -Ashton Pierce

Track 8 from Under Pressure. Coming this Tuesday June 24th

Voted favorite song off the EP at the listening party. Maybe because it’s the most personal/vulnerable track on it 🤔
