POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This last month has been full of chapters closing.

I graduated high school, ending a 12 year season of life that shaped me in more ways than I can think of. While it’s exciting to look ahead, it’s hard not to reflect on all the memories, friendships, and lessons, that brought me here.

My softball career came to an end as well. 10 years of the sport I loved stopped on a random Wednesday evening. Softball taught me that not every leader will see your potential, not every effort will be acknowledged, and not every opportunity will be handed to you. But it also taught me that your value isn’t determined by someone else’s recognition. Don’t put your value into the hands of others. Make relationships with your teammates, I hope to have impacted them all positively.

Watching my boyfriend’s baseball career come to an end was bittersweet. I’ve had a front-row seat to the countless hours, sacrifices, early mornings, and dedication he’s poured into the game over the years. Seeing it all come together in such an incredible season made me even more proud of the person he is both on and off the field. Watching him play baseball was one of my favorite activities. It not only allowed me to support the person I love, but it also allowed me to create close relationships with his family. Especially his nieces and nephew. For that I am so grateful.

As these chapters close, I’m realizing that endings aren’t always about losing something. Sometimes they’re about taking everything you’ve learned and carrying it into whatever comes next. Here’s to new beginnings. taken in Apple Creek, Ohio by @ashtynbelle_
