we all start somewhere!!! I can’t wait to see this one’s progression 👀

I hope you encourage your apprentices to document their own journey, even if it’s just for themselves to reflect on! 🪄

I love looking at old work of mine and seeing how much I’ve grown ⚡️

Do you remember how you first learnt to foil?

these are the kinds of things I think about at night 😂

Can we talk about this term “industry standard”?

I’ve been using this term for a long time and only up until maybe the last year I’ve started to wonder what it truely means.

What does it mean? What does it look like?

Who’s deciding on the standard?

I work with many salons across Melbourne and they all are so unique in their approach to hair, business and team dynamics that I couldn’t tell you what standard is.
Are all of them “standard” or none of them?

Industry Standard is being talked about a lot due to the current update of the training package.. but when it comes to apprentices we are really talking about minimal competency, the baseline required to be a qualified hairdresser

So I am asking YOU
What is industry standard to you?

I’m not a soft, fluffy educator
I’m direct. I’m honest.
I have high standards and I don’t apologise for it.

I’ve been a hair nerd my whole life and I genuinely care about this industry. If something is off, I’ll tell you. If you can do better, I’ll show you how.

My point of difference?
⚡️No bullshit.
⚡️Real results.
⚡️Education that actually changes someone’s career, not just fills a worksheet

If you’re ready to shake up your salon education next year or need some skills refining, then dm me!

We can start out with a discovery call, really map out what it is you/your team need

I have tailored options to suit various needs and skill levels to work along side your salon education or become your salon educator 💛

I look forward to creating more future proof stylists for 2026 ⚡️

three students in my Layers edit class, three different problems.

this is why I love doing small, hands-on classes. It all comes back to knowing your foundations and practise! Having someone stand with you, they can see what you’re doing much better than you can, and help you identify the issue 🪄

I’m so sad this was my last workshop for 2026 but I am already planning 2027 and it’s going to be bigger and better ⚡️⚡️

what classes do you want to see in 2027???

and yes, you could highlight to give the illusion, but we’ve done that and prefer the simplicity of a tint

go in low and slow, I used k18 and we got absolutely no breakage, the highlights processed 50 minutes..

Why are we so scared to break bases?
I love it for the right client ⚡️

sold no tickets to my class today…

Ngl I haven’t been promoting, I’ve been distracted, but still here I am, no students

I can’t help but feel like, should I be doing this?

I have to remind myself I’m still learning too, I’m building something and this is the stuff you don’t see or hear about

Vulnerability is scary, I see others do it who inspire me and I thought about not posting about this because of the fear of judgement..

But that felt like I’m not being authentic..

so here we are ⚡️⚡️
