“success is not final, failure is not fatal. it is the courage to continue that counts.”

last august, jasmine and I shared that we’d be opening luxury & legacy salon suites in september. we were on track and excited, until things outside of our control kept coming up.

through every high and low, we stayed committed to the vision we set when we got the keys in spring 2025 (slide 3). this process pushed us to focus on what we could control, release what we couldn’t, and recognize the privilege in having this opportunity, to learn, and to have people in our corner. everything hallelujah!!

it hasn’t been easy, but we’re grateful to share that we are officially ready and excited to begin building legacies through this space 🫶🏿 by @asialashe_

ended last year and started 2026 disconnected from everything, making space to focus on how I want to show up for myself this year 🫶🏿

favorite moments from the trip:
- took my first tennis lesson since high school and realized how important it is to prioritize things that matter to me
- connected with new people at community style dinners
- participated in a beauty of imperfection activity that involved breaking bowls and learning to let go in order to appreciate what’s in front of me
- did equine therapy with the most beautiful horse, body, and four strangers that challenged me to be vulnerable despite my discomfort (will literally talk about this one to anyone that will listen, I fear)
- tried archery and finally realized I don’t NEED to be good at everything I try (unpictured is how long it took me to learn)
- every moment in the spa of course
- uninterrupted reading, journaling, and meditation
- made time to laugh on the seesaw with my mom by @asialashe_
