What a night! An intimate private screening of our short documentary, Asian Girls Run Road to London 26.2 . This has been months in the making and I’m so proud to have finally shared it! 🙌A huge thank you to all who attended. It’s always wonderful to bring the community together, but especially when we can share about the achievements and journeys of the women in our club and how far we have come together. Saturday AGR club 🤗 It’s good to be back in our usual route with these fantastic women! 2.5km social run, welcomed one new joiner and had such a nice relaxed social run together. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring our documentary, Asian Girls Run | Road to London 26.2 together, and it’s nearly here! 🙌Asian Girls Run was built because the research told us Asian women were among the least physically active — and we knew that wasn’t the whole story.We’re here to rewrite the narrative. For the Asian faces missing from the start line. For the diaspora women who’ve been told sport isn’t for them. For every runner finding confidence, community, and belonging — one mile at a time.Our documentary is a love letter to visibility. It was a mega weekend for Asian Girls Run and a Medal Monday to shout about! 📣🎉🥇💥Saturday was a double header with some taking on their very first trail races @maverickrace . 💥Others took part in the New Malden friendly local 5K Race. 💥Sunday superstars took on the @thelondon10k and @spitfirescramble We couldn’t be more proud of each one of you pushing yourselves to take on new challenges. Running in the hot temps this weekend was definitely not easy and yet you’re all out there absolutely smashing it! You should feel super proud of yourselves!! Loved running our first trail race with the @asiangirls.run crew as part of the City to the Trails with @londonmarathonevents and @maverickrace - thank you for the opportunity and inviting our community!!!
