Winter retreat to Hope Valley and South Lake Tahoe. So much snow from the weeks previous historic storm building up heaviness from the loss after the avalanche but finding peace in the birch forest and the snowshoes. Was hoping for a snow flurry but got instead a warming trend with a slight freezing rain the wood fired sauna hotter then anything I’ve felt before snow balls on skin for a cooling effect really giving a sense of relief when so needed taken in Hope Valley by @asiateresa

INTRODUCING —> Asia Thorpe with Galaxy Flower Lab

Asia began her skin care career over 25 years ago when she learned how to be a maker & formulator for a private label manufacturer of organic aromatherapy & herbal skin care products

This inspired her to become an esthetician so she could share her knowledge of plants and love of natural products with her clients. She worked in a couple of the top spas in Marin where she was trained in all of the cutting edge treatments and worked with many of the leading natural skin care brands becoming an expert in ingredient knowledge & the latest skin care trends.

In 2020 she began to develop her own line of beauty & wellness products, Galaxy Flower Lab, in order to deepen her own connection to healing plants, to express herself more creatively & to help her clients & friends find healing & rejuvenation.

In her skin studio she uses almost all of her own products in her treatments so she can fully customize the experience, incorporating transportive aromatherapy blends for their sensorial and therapeutic qualities. She is also an intuitive body worker making the massage an integral part of the facial, using Gua Sha tools and other techniques and modalities for lymphatic drainage and facial muscle toning. She strives to help her clients achieve their best looking and healthiest skin with a natural and holistic yet effective approach.

Asia is a Bolinas, CA native who also grew up in Montreal
She is a film buff, photographer & designer in her spare time

FREEBOX FASHION SHOW ON SAT OCT 11 !!
Doors at 8:00 show 8:30-10:30 $20 tickets available online at the Bolinas Community Center website and you can also donate more there! ❤️www.bocenter.org

We are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Freebox as we know and love it in the People’s plaza! 🎉
It is a benefit for the Bolinas Community Center’s Freebox fund which will help with maintenance costs! It is a vital and loving community resource for so many and a beautiful way to recycle and show mutual aid!

The last Freebox Fashion Show I directed was in 2006 almost 20 yrs ago! It is not to be confused with the Freebox Follies which is a show that others in the community began shortly thereafter! The fashion show has the theme of Re-birth and time travel told through fashion inspired by music! It will be MC’d by Bob Dill and Amber Distasi with a special performance and amazing guest singers!! There will be a bar and a 15min intermission!
Expect loud music, strobe lights and mature content! We also have limited seating which will be prioritized for those who need it the most, otherwise expect to stand for a 2 hrs show- like a rock concert!

I’m also looking for donations of hangers and certain costume things like wigs etc and fabulous Freebox finds! You can message me here if you have something!

Hope to see you there! Expect a miracle!! ✨💫♾️🪄🙌 Asia taken in Bolinas CommUnity Center by @asiateresa
