Today’s meeting was productive with Mdm Silvia Vides the Partnerships and Development Financing Officer, UN Resident Coordinator’s Office Sierra Leone. Our meeting was warm and informative as we discussed at length propose engagement between United Nations Association of Sierra Leone(UNASIL), the United Nations Youth Association of Sierra Leone(UNYASIL) and the United Country Team Sierra Leone.

The Ecowas - Cedeao Mid-Year Statutory Meetings bring together Heads of State and Government, Ministers, senior officials and regional institutions to advance the Community’s shared priorities—peace and security, democratic governance, economic integration, trade, infrastructure and sustainable development.

It is an honor for our Director General His Excellency Ambassador Junisa Precious Gbeteh Sallu Kallon @junisak to join in Freetown, Sierra Leone the 39th Meeting of the ECOWAS Administration and Finance Committee (AFC) opened today in Freetown, Sierra Leone, bringing together representatives of ECOWAS Member States and Community Institutions to review key administrative, financial and institutional matters.

The three-day meeting, taking place from 12–14 July 2026, will examine reports and proposals on administration, finance, human resources, budget execution and institutional performance.

It is an honor for Amb Junisa Precious Gbeteh Sallu Kallon to join in Freetown, Sierra Leone the 56th Regular Session of the ECOWAS Mediation and Security Council, at the ministerial level, was held today in Freetown, Serra Leone, to analyze the memoranda on the political and security situation in West Africa; the activation of the ECOWAS Reserve Force; the humanitarian situation in the region and the latest information on the operationalization of ECOWAS Early Warning and Response Centers.

It is an honor for Amb Junisa Kallon to join in Freetown, Sierra Leone the 96th Ordinary Session of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) as it’s holding its 96th Ordinary Session in Freetown, Serra Leone, from July 16 to 17, 2026, before the Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Heads of State and Government Authority, scheduled for July 19, 2026, in Freetown.

During the two-day meeting, the ministers will analyze the Community's financial situation, memorandums on the political and security situation in the region, the action plan (2027–2030) regarding the return of cultural assets to their countries of origin, and the operationalization of ECOWAS-ECOSOCC, among other issues.
