Asi’s Fits: Inspired by Space.

These past few weeks have reminded me of how much of a luxury dressing up is. The simple pleasure of picking out an outfit, reimagining casual pieces and some hand-me-downs from family members into office wear, it’s all been absolute bliss!

If you know me, you’ll know I LOVE clothes. I remember a time when I struggled to express my personhood through what I wore, and the impact that had on my confidence. I’m at a completely different point now, with a much deeper understanding of the fluidity of style, my inspirations, and what truly matters to me in how I show up.

I’ve come to understand that space plays a huge role in how I engage with my personal style.

I draw a lot of inspiration from the spaces I’m in, and as of late I noticed I tend to observe mostly colour and form. These elements stimulate me. My outfit inspiration can come from something as simple as making a creamy cup of coffee in a beautiful space and I find myself delighted by the fluidity of the liquid and perhaps even the way the particular shade of cream catches my eye against the tone of the rug because of how the light hit the space that morning.

Other times, it’s a little more layered, with much more intention behind how I engage with the space. I’ll find myself making small decisions: whether I want to complement or create contrast with the space. Do I want to do this through shape, colour, texture, line?

More often than not, I follow feeling to simplify the process for myself, and it somehow works out. Behind every work outfit there’s inspiration and a lot of feeling. by @asiphile_vena

This is still one of my favourite days of 2026 with @king.grrrr!!! 🥹Absolutely loved @capesidecaradventures and an epic shoutout to @lovecapetown 🤩✨

This whole experience reminded me that there’s so much to explore in this city and I’ve been so complacent because in my head I’m like “it’s here, I’ll check it out at some point” and that point never comes! Meet Kamogelo “Kamo” Motlhabane, a content creator, fashion lover, and proud daughter, as she embarks on a Cape Town adventure with two very special travel companions: her parents. ✈️🥹

While her parents took some well-deserved downtime, Kamo and her friend Asiphile Vena spent the day exploring Cape Town on a Cape Sidecar adventure.

The day was all about taking in the sights, discovering new spots and, of course, making a few memories along the way. They stopped at some of Cape Town’s iconic locations before making their way to the Capeside Car headquarters for a refreshing bev and a little educational session. 🌊⛰️

By then, they were absolutely famished, so naturally, it was time for some café hopping. ☕️

Their stops included:
📍Cova Matcha
📍Montreal Coffee in Sea Point
📍Café Chiffon

And to wrap up the day, the duo headed to the Sea Point Promenade at sunset to attempt riding scooters. 🛴

Week 1 of @nelsonmandelamarathon training

After two weeks off, I started the week off very gently and felt quite energised, following the @runna app marathon training plan.

I pulled off two days of double sessions, I went on my runs and spent much time at @sportscience_sa for my gym sessions. I fuelled well, without any supplementing, which is peak for me. I mainly used this week to assess my fitness and energy levels.

The week ended off with me feeling quite sluggish, tired and this is largely due to my poor sleeping habits. Going forward, my points of improvement are my sleep hygiene and balancing out my training schedule.

I’m quite stoked about the next few weeks. I do want to share about this training block quite openly because there are a lot of struggles along the way but there’s also so much to celebrate and be excited about.
