Big News! After three long years, my project with Dr. Haleh Massey @askdrwoodchuck is finally here! ‘Poupeh Babaee’ is officially out in the world, and it’s extra special because this is my first big published book in the U.S. 🎉 Holding it for the first time was surreal; seeing my name on a hardbound book feels so good. ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ. I even went to Hollywood for my very first book signing, met Haleh in person, and signed until my hand almost gave up! 🤓 Three years on a graphic novel is no joke, but we made it! Huge thanks to @robthebookdesigner , my endlessly patient art director (he truly deserves a medal). Shoutout to @marylandinstitutecollegeofart , where we first met. Thanks to @koshurgooner14 , who made my Hollywood milestone possible, and to @tajamulhussain56 , the backbone of my art journey. Haleh’s story has been such an inspiration, and I can’t wait to start bringing my own stories to life soon. Above all, Alhamdulillah, the best of planners. So here she is - Poupeh Babaee: a story about an immigrant girl and her struggles, wrapped in love, resilience, and heart. by @askdrwoodchuck

📚 COVER REVEAL 📚 We're thrilled to share the cover for My Name is Harriet Mansoor (NOT Hairy Man Suit!) by Dr. Haleh Massey! This hilarious illustrated middle grade follows Hangameh "Harriet" Mansoor through the WORST month of her eleven-year-old life—complete with bullies, bad grades, puberty, and the possibility of having to move back to Iran because of family money problems. Can she survive sixth grade? Find out May 26, 2026! Available for pre-order now wherever books are sold! More about the book: Eleven-year-old Hangameh “Harriet” Mansoor really needs to catch a break. Puberty gifted her a big nose and bushy eyebrows, which make her stick out even more than being the only Iranian girl among all her blonde, blue-eyed classmates. But the sixth-grade camping trip to Camp Cottontail could be the perfect opportunity to turn her middle-school fate around. She’d finally have a little space from her over-protective parents and moody older sister; she’d have some serious fun with her best friend Cathy; and she’d maybe even gather up the courage to talk to her long-time crush, Jeremy. Unfortunately, a string of terrible luck threatens everything. Her bully, Sarah Gill, starts to date Jeremy and when she catches a glimpse of Harriet’s unshaved legs, she gives Harriet an awful nickname: Hairy Man Suit. But worst of all, her parents announce that money problems might force them to move all the way back to Iran–and soon–sending her far away from her best friend and everything she knows. While Harriet usually tries to blend in as much as possible and keep the peace, she’ll have to speak up and stand up if she wants to solve any of these catastrophes. But can she do it before her family packs up everything to leave the country? 🎨Cover art by Rashin Kheiriyeh Black background with Iranian-inspired floral motifs throughout. In the center is the book cover for My Name is Harriet Mansoor (NOT Hairy Man Suit!) by Dr. Haleh Massey. The cover depicts eleven-year old Harriet, who has short black hair, bushy eyebrows, and hairy legs. She wears a red shirt with an oversized green jacket, shorts, knee-high socks, and sneakers. She is surrounded by Iranian-inspired floral motifs. Cover art copyright © 2026 by Rashin Kheiriyeh. Tu Books logo, an imprint of Lee & Low Books. by @askdrwoodchuck
