Today marks one month since I stepped on stage for my first bodybuilding competition and it was honestly such a surreal experience.

The best part for me is the journey. Bodybuilding is, and has always been, about the process for me, simply for the love of the game, nothing more. Bodybuilding is a 24/7 endeavor, the epitome of delayed gratification. Each session is a penny dropped into the piggy bank. You won’t see massive improvements in weeks or even months, but it’s the culmination of those efforts, day in and day out, over years and even decades that something beautiful truly manifests. Each session is an opportunity to learn and refine your craft. The process is what has always drawn me to the sport and art form that is bodybuilding, along with the lessons learned and what you learn about yourself along the way.

Special shoutout to @revivestronger who has not only been an amazing friend but for his guidance and help in cultivating my love for bodybuilding.

Also, S/O to @helms3dmj for being an inspiration in how I want to conduct myself in my improvement season, taking a more auto-regulated approach, something I’ve always resonated with deeply, and also step on stage. Both are such great ambassadors for the sport and really embody the spirit of natural bodybuilding.
S/O to @colby.sousa for the GOAT RuneScape prep hacks and for lending an ear, and to @christopherbarnett and @qaisbutt_ for their posing guidance 🙏🏻

S/O to my parents and Aliza for putting up with me during this process. Their support helped carry me during the final stretch especially.

Also, Cheddar soft launch 🧀 (!!). We found him in Aliza’s parents’ neighborhood at one week old and are nursing him back to health. Safe to say Mochi is a big brother now 🧡🧡 by @askforali
