If you’re one of the #blackcyclists that attended the Warthen Cycling & Campout event then congrats on your finish. Shout out to #cyclingoutloud who let me tag along for the return trip. It was fun getting lost with y’all. Comment the word “Warthen” for upcoming cycling and camping events. taken in Warthen RV Park by @asktonybrown

I’m NOT a strong cyclist. Say it with me: I’m NOT a strong cyclist. But somehow I eat like the yellow jersey is hanging in my closet and the Tour de France is on next week’s calendar, lol.

So when somebody said “cycling and camping trip,” my hand went up before my legs could file a complaint.

Adventure? Say less.

Listen, every group ride I’ve been on, I get dropped; dots in the distance, me back here negotiating terms with my hamstrings. But this weekend? I had a plan: stay in my pace, honor the pace, respect the pace.

I’m not out here to be the fastest. I’m out here to finish, so later I can feast, guilt-free. 🚴🏾‍♂️🏕️🍖

Drop a comment if you ride at your own pace and refuse to apologize for it.

I named my van Nettie. She gives me an opportunity to pour into her with positive energy. And that results in us sharing memories I wouldn’t be able to enjoy, otherwise. #vanlife #melanatedcampout #blackvanlife by @asktonybrown

Today’s IRONMAN 70.3 Little Elm was by far the windiest race I’ve ever witnessed. Yet, these amazing triathletes didn’t give up despite the headwinds. Congrats to both individuals and teams on your finish in the face of relentless obstacles presented by Mother Nature. taken in Little Elm, Texas by @asktonybrown

Although the swim was canceled, these triathletes are still in good spirits. You race what’s given to you, not what you want it to be. by @asktonybrown

McKenley Mason has provided the mentoring and support that is much needed the black endurance community. His coaching of both individuals and relay teams has been pivotal to making triathlon both competitive and fun. #blacktriathlete #ironmac taken in Little Elm Park by @asktonybrown

I’m refuse to be stuck in the same routine rut. This is my mobile office, my sanctuary, and my daily reminder that alignment is possible. #vanlife #mobileoffice #remoteworklife by @asktonybrown

Cycling as Therapy: Finding Peace, Clarity, and Community on Two Wheels: I talk about how therapy can take the form of cycling, where the act of riding becomes a meditation and a conversation with oneself. The real healing happens when you stop and find peace in the world around you. Cycling not only healed the mind, but also exposed the person to a new community of supportive people who understand the journey. #cyclingistherapy #cycling #meditation #mentalhealth #blackcyclist by @asktonybrown

This Labor Day weekend owes me nothing. I started with riding 44 miles at the One Love Century event, despite not having trained much, and then going to the 70's soul funk after-party. The next day, House in the Park gave me a chance to reconnect with old friends and meet new people. Now I'm taking a lazy day to recuperate. #OneLoveCentury #HouseinThePark #70sSoulFunk #BlackCyclist #blackcyclists by @asktonybrown
