POSTS STORIES REELS

i regret a lot of things. things i did and things i didn’t do. things i said and things i didn’t say. plans i said no to, and the months i didn’t say no to anything. days i went to bed early, and days i didn’t go to bed at all. i always hope the feeling lessens when i give it more attention, but it only grows. i dissect whole conversations and situations to look for comfort. if i obsess over every detail, the conclusion must be that it’s okay, right? i made the right decision after all, right? with the knowledge at the time, my decision only made sense, right? but it’s never true. it never reduces. i hate regret, and i can never shake it. i want to let go, but it sticks on me. the more attention i give it, the more it spreads. it’s like honey. it's sweet and alluring and i touch it in hope for life to grow softer, but it sticks and then it never gets off of my hands. i try to get rid of it, but now it’s everywhere. i regret a lot of things, and i don't know how to deal with it.

hello there, it’s been a while. it has been 461 days since i posted, to be exact. i love writing and i really want to start posting again.

i think us humans are obsessed with feeling good all the time, probably also because of social media. we almost only see happy people on our timeline so we get used to it, but it’s not reality. even though i hope you don’t, it’s inevitable to feel sad sometimes.

all the best to everyone reading this.

x eva

strange how many excuses we have invented to explain why so much of life belongs in the background.

hi it is been a while for me to post. i didn't really write stuff i liked lately, so here is something i wrote a long time ago when i wasn't feeling great. luckily i am better now :)

i also wrote a new piece for my blog which you can read through the link in my bio! it is about the desire to explore everyhing.

hope you are doing well <3333 by @asoftworld

the pain is like a block you push forward though life. when are you finally looking inside?

i find it difficult to post consistently, maybe because writing poetry for me is also very inconsistent. sometimes i write multiple pieces that i like in 1 day and sometimes i don't write anything cool in weeks. hope you enjoy anyway :).

i am almost at 4000 followers which i think is insane. i remember getting like 12 likes on my posts of which half were my real life friends lol. 4000 people is a lot so thank you!!!

lastly, i started learning russian 2 days ago, it's so difficult but interesting. any fluent speakers here?

love, eva

incredible how poets had a taste of a feeling so magical, they devote a lifetime to expressing it in words, to let the world have a taste of that feeling too.

i learned that for some things you will never feel ready. whether it's moving abroad and leaving all your friends behind, or switching career paths. whether it's breaking up with someone, or admitting falling in love. whether it's travelling on your own, or any other big thing in life. i think not feeling truly ready shouldn't keep you from doing big things, because what if you'll never truly feel ready? our lives would stay the same forever and we'd spend a lifetime waiting for a feeling that might not exist.

so let's do scary things we might not feel completely ready for, and add cool things to our lives. :)

when my mind is more interesting than reality, it wanders. it floats everywhere which is exactly why i am nowhere. not a place i can be found.

another post; i always write more in examweeks. hope you are doing well <3.
