Slab practice! At the anchor after the second pitch, we could see the sun shining on the tops of the trees behind us, but we were still in the shadow of the cliff and getting blown off our feet by the piercing cold wind. I leaned back and stretched my arm as far behind me as I could until the sun eventually lit up my fingertips, which warranted big celebration as the cold would soon be less painful. Amazing moment. The pitch after that started with a crack that I lead and took my first fall on gear on. After that I pulled back on and finished a crazy simul climbing lead, which ended up being extremely run out and put me on the edge of my composure. Another screaming celebration of relief when I made it to the anchor. Next route we did included my first 5.8 trad lead with Blake and holly welcoming me onto the ledge afterwards, followed by a crazy lead by Nick that I followed as the sun set. We rappelled illuminated by the moon. Then I had the best nights sleep in my hammock ever. Too good, thanks guys. by @asperrrrr
