MY HEART IS PUMPING JUST WRITING THIS. MY GOODNESS!! 😮‍💨❤️‍🔥

After the “Don’t Like” She Mix was released, creative souls from the music industry started entering my orbit. And when you’re that young and HUNGRY, the fear of jeopardizing your shot can make you hesitate to establish boundaries you haven’t fully learned how to navigate yet.

I was yearning for an elevated sound. Part of me wanted to redeem myself from feeling SOULLLL ridiculed for sharing a side of myself I was genuinely having fun expressing with my friends.

Being flown to Philly by someone who appeared so established brought me closer to the taste of fame.. and to a sound more polished than recording directly into my MacBook during my GarageBand singing days. 🥹

Parts of being in a new state were exciting, but I was also learning to navigate an industry where opportunity and sexual energy could become blurred. I never wanted to feel like I had to exchange access to my body for access to my dreams. And yet, at 18, I was still figuring out how to stand firm in my boundaries without fearing I’d lose the opportunity altogether.

“Seasons of Love” would unfortunately mark the beginning of a cycle of letdowns. But I will forever hold the parts of myself that KEPT TRYING close to my heart. She deserved that much. ❤️‍🩹

I’m not sharing these experiences to tear anyone down. I’m ready to archive my music journey and give language to experiences I once didn’t know how to articulate.

I have gratitude for everyone who played a role in my journey, even when the experiences were intense, complicated, and chaotic. I learned a SHIT TON. And I pray that, in telling my story, I can honor the lessons without losing sight of the humanity in everyone involved.

This portion of the journey is HEATING UP! 🔥

What once terrified me ended up setting me up for the craziest ride of my life! Who knew one cover would attract SOUL much abundance? 😂✨

A divine lesson in not allowing other people’s perceptions of you to define the outcome of your life.

I was spot on about making this cover, but the price came with public embarrassment, misjudgment, and being misunderstood. Trying to explain all of that to an 18 yo girl was way out of my league.

Sometimes, you really have to trust your gut, even when the decision could backfire. Because only YOU know the why, but you never know the when. 🌀❤️‍🔥

From GarageBand covers to getting booed off stage 😂 this era really reminds me how fearless I was. I was so comfortable sucking until I got better.

And apparently… after dropping out of college, I decided to take the music thing ALL the way. 👀

A new journey awaits.

Craziest 48 hrs of my life!!! Thank you to everyone who took the time to sit with me through all my decision making and planning. I was truly soul looking forward to connecting with all of the beautiful vessels I planted seeds with in #nyc. Just know, when the Divine says it’s GO, IT’S GOOOOO!! 🥰

In the end, we must always listen to our hearts.

Currently jet lagged afff but obediently surrendered to the stillness of this shift. Resting like crazy and flowing with nature’s heartbeat. It’s feeling real peaceful over here and soul far, every day has CLEARLY confirmed my decision was the right one.
