Well, that didn’t go to plan…Disappointing comp for Omar but I’m NOT disappointed in the man. He represents himself with class and did the same for Team USA. This was a blow, but he will be a man about it, will be back stronger, and will make important finals in the future. Like Menachem told him…”You’re like an egg…you took a crack today. You can either fall apart and become an omelette, or you can strengthen and become a rooster.” Rooster it is.

USATF U20 SHOT PUT CHAMPION! Wow, what a day for Omar!!! Put it away with throw no.1 20.97, capped it off with no.6 20.92. Four throws over 20.37. Proud and pleased to coach a young man with high caliber character such as this, and a team full of others with the same. And…we’re still building.

Omar out here trying to get salty with the 6kg ball. A few over 20m in prep for USATF U20 this week. Special thanks to @beavertfxc for the use of their facility. And thanks Oregon for the hospitality with the Arkansas temperatures…you’re too kind…really, it’s too much…we cannot accept.

So we added a 50 footer😃… I’m thrilled to announce the addition of Lyla Mullins to the Red Wolves Throws Squad for the coming fall. With a PB of 15.42, Lyla has two, possibly three more years to take this shot put thing as far as we can. Instant impact. Welcome to the family Lyla!

Let me tell you how proud I am of these two dudes… Menachem and Omar represented A-State superbly. They competed at their best with bad intentions on the ball, trying to drop some big throws. The big marks eluded us, perhaps trying a little too hard…to go hard…but what a great night. They meant business. Best throws on their last attempts, and very respectable performances at 13th and 2nd team AA for Menachem, and 17th and Hon Men AA for Omar, just missing 2nd team by a tie-breaking second mark with the thrower from Bucknell. Incredible learning experience for these two who will be back and hungrier than ever to get on the podium. Now to get a couple of their teammates to join them… Very proud of you two men, and I love all of you, throwers.

Wow. The boys went hard. Double NCAA qualifiers. Omar got it started with a big PB 18.72 out of flt 2, which held til the end and now puts him at 5th all-time at A-State…as a FROSH. Menachem finished it off with a big PB 19.41 which breaks the A-State school record and sets a new all-time Israeli national record! Bwo, this is crazy. Excellent work men. Onward!
