As the global worship community mourns the passing of Brian Doerksen, for so many of us, his songs weren’t just songs. They became the soundtrack to our worship.

🎵 Refiner’s Fire
to name just a few…

Whether you first sang them at church, a youth camp, university, or in the quiet of your own room, there’s a good chance Brian’s words helped shape your walk with God.

Today, we remember not only the songwriter behind these worship anthems, but also a devoted husband, father and humble servant whose life pointed people to Jesus.

Our prayers are with Joyce, their children and the entire Doerksen family, along with Marika and the countless friends, worship leaders and believers around the world mourning this loss.

Thank you, Brian, for giving the Church songs that have carried our prayers, strengthened our faith and united generations in worship.

Your earthly song may have ended, but your legacy will continue every time the Church sings.

🕊️ Rest in peace, Brian Doerksen.
