Starting the new year off by trying to procrastinate less. Two projects that have been waiting to be blocked for a while were the first on the “catch-up” list.
Life of a Knit Girl by @lyricalknits in a lovely silvery grey merino/silk yarn was such a quick easy knit with big impact.
The brioche Timekeepers Cowl by @hanksandneedles was a bit more challenging but still very enjoyable thanks to the extremely well-written pattern. Knit with @asterfiberco worsted in Spruce & Beware a Fire Sign - so springy & soft. Just need to seam two edges once it comes off the blocking mats.

@the.stitchin.witch released the beautiful #eventhorizoncowl today!
It features these nifty purposeful holes, which is what drew me in immediately, and combines straightforward, easy to remember repeats with a bit of funky flair. I can't wait to wear it this fall!
The last picture shows my yarn glowing in a UV light! 😍
I picked up some yarn from a new to me LYS in Tucson @grandmaspinning_wheel and that highlighter yellow color showed off a fun surprise! 😆

Whew! I'm done! 😅 I have shipped alllll my things, shipped alllllll the orders, met up with folks locally to transport/trade items and everything else is put away and the website is closed up for now. I so appreciate everyone who has shared in this journey over the last 4 years in whatever capacity that was. 💜

I've decided I'm moving back to the southwest and there's absolutely no way I can take all the yarn, fiber, and notions with me. 😅

This is kind of a fluid situation but I'm hoping to be moving in the next 6 weeks or so. I only want to take what I need as shipping everything cross country is a *bit* expensive so I'm adding a discount to the shop to try and further reduce inventory.

Use the code MOVINGDAY to take 25% off everything left in the shop! There are fades, single skeins, kits, fiber, stitch stoppers galore..!

Also I'll be needing to sell off my undyed yarn inventory and some dye/equipment so if you know any indie dyers or hobbyists who want some discounted stuff, send them my way. Locals are probably easier but I'm willing to ship stuff too!

I'm also going to be doing a craft-themed sale where I destash from my own pile of yarn and notions so I'll be planning that shortly, though that might be in person. 😅

I'm not leaving yarn dyeing forever, just taking a sabbatical 😉 🙌 and until I get set up down there it just makes more sense to put it away for a bit.

Awhile back I started a club where I provided a mystery skein inspired by some of my favorite prints from my favorite local photographer and a beautiful stitch marker/progress keeper designed by my favorite notions maker. It didn't go very well. 😅 I was newer to dyeing, didn't have the reach and reputation for color that I have now and it just didn't gain any traction. I put it away to come back to later, but I never did. The markers and prints are now in a bundle for a discounted rate in the shop or you can grab a specific pairing that speaks to you. 😁
