As September comes to an end, Alpha Sigma Tau wanted to take a moment to recognize Suicide Prevention Month and remind everyone that you are never alone. 💛 There are people who care about you, support you, and want to be there for you.

Here are some words following the journey of one of our amazing Alpha Sigma Tau alum,

“Hi everyone! 💗

I’m a 2020 alum of Alpha Sigma Tau at Marist College, and this year I’m taking on a HUGE challenge: running the NYC Marathon with Fred’s Team to raise money for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

This cause is incredibly personal to me because my dad is currently receiving treatment at MSK. Knowing that 100% of the funds raised through Fred’s Team go directly toward MSK makes this experience even more meaningful to me and my family. Every mile I run and every dollar raised is in honor of my dad and the incredible care he has received.

I also have to give a special shoutout to my Big, Victoria (Class of 2018), who ran the NYC Marathon with Fred’s Team last year. Watching her take on this challenge was such a huge inspiration to me, and I honestly don’t know if I would have had the courage to do it myself without seeing her experience. Now it feels so special to be following in her footsteps! 🏃🏼‍♀️💜

I’m getting closer and closer to my fundraising goal, and I would be so grateful if you would consider donating or even just sharing my fundraiser with others. Every single donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.

Thank you so much for supporting me and this cause that means the absolute world to me!” 💗
