A first look at Phase One.

I’ve been quietly developing the beginnings of a story for Astral Den. This is the first glimpse of that world starting to take shape.

For me, this piece represents a birth — the first movement, the first signs of life, and the beginning of something I want to slowly unfold through visuals, symbols and sound.

It’s still very much a work in progress, which is exactly why I wanted to share it now. I want to document the process as much as the finished work and let the story reveal itself along the way.

The beginning of something.

Coming to a screen near you. 👁️

Been playing with this Mayan-inspired glyph and finding ways to bring a little movement and light into these ancient forms.

Excited to let part of it out into the wild Halloween weekend at Freakshow 👁️ @terrakromarecords

Come find us and see what else we’ve been hiding in the den. ;)

We’ve been spending some time together getting everything ready for the Terrakroma stage at Freakshow ’26.

Lots of ideas going back and forth, testing visuals, figuring out what works and having fun building this thing together.

Really excited about where it’s going.

We’ve got something special (and a little freaky) planned for you. 👁️

See you at Freakshow.

The red dragon of Popo & Itza, an original Astral Den VJ visual loop where passion and fire meet in a tribal dance.

Born from volcanic energy and inspired by Mayan mythology, sacred geometry and psychedelic art, Popo moves through fire, rhythm and ancestral symbolism — created to come alive through live VJ sets, projection mapping and psychedelic festival visuals.

🔥 Welcome to the world of Popo & Itza.

Hello Astral Beings! ✨ Welcome to Astral Den, a passion project born from our shared love of psychedelic music, visual art, technology and the community surrounding it.

We’re @jollieinc and @surreal_dan, two creatives bringing together world-building, sacred art, creative direction, visual design, VFX and 3D motion. Astral Den is a space for us to experiment, combine our ideas and create immersive visuals that move you.

With roots in the SoCal Psy scene and the @terrakroma family, we’re excited to share what we’ve been creating and see where it takes us.

We hope to see you out there. Come say hello!
