Watching on Christmas Day: day one or later? by @astraldistrict

Doctor Doom first appeared in Fantastic Four No. 5 (1962). Thanos arrived 11 years later in Iron Man No. 55 (1973). Thanos had his snap in Avengers: Infinity War, and Robert Downey Jr. returns as Doom when Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters Dec 18. Our take: two of Marvel's greatest villains, and fans have argued about this matchup for decades. #Marvel #AvengersDoomsday

The official Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 trailer is here. The Titan's Curse is being adapted for the screen for the first time, and with Annabeth captured, this looks like the biggest quest of the series so far. Two episodes arrive Nov 20 on Disney+ and Hulu, then two more every week.

For Pokémon's 30th, Fender made Pokémon Red and Green into Made in Japan guitars: a Red Version Stratocaster and a Green Version Telecaster, each ¥396,000 (about $2,600). Press the volume knob for 8-bit sound. Japan lottery runs Nov 19–24 on Pokémon Center Online; Pokémon says US preorders are coming soon, with release in 2027. Our take: built-in 8-bit sound turns a collector piece into a playable piece of Pokémon history. #Pokemon #Fender #Pokemon30th

Bocchi the Rock! is getting a movie. "Bocchi the Rock! Hoshi no Ashiato" (Starry Footprints) is a prequel film coming to Japanese theaters in 2027. It follows Nijika and her older sister Seika about ten years before Kessoku Band formed, adapting a bonus story from manga Volume 5. Shin Wakabayashi directs at CloverWorks, Erika Yoshida returns to write, and Maaya Uchida and Sayumi Suzushiro voice Seika and Nijika. Staff also confirmed Season 2 is in full production. Our take: a story about the sisters behind STARRY is a lovely way to grow this world while Season 2 gets made.
