POSTS STORIES REELS

There’s so much noise in aesthetics right now. New trends, new names, new ‘miracle’ treatments every week.

We keep it simple with our signature treatments that actually work, ensuring you look refreshed, natural, and confident. Because we don’t have time for over-priced, trending treatments that don’t deliver either.

All our procedures are performed by Dr Michael Aicken, a GMC registered GP and aesthetics trainer with over 18 years experience. Get in touch via the contact button in our bio for a complimentary consultation or to check availability and book in.

What if social media didn’t exist? Would your definition of beauty be different? Would you buy as many magic elixirs and new serums at 1am? Would you compare yourself to that volume of peers? Would you still feel like you’re failing?

Subtle filters, ring lights and undisclosed cosmetic work, all presented as the result of eight hours’ sleep and an *insert trending ingredient* cream (use my code for 10% off!), have a lot to answer for when it comes to the unrealistic beauty standards we’re sold.

We’re not here for it✌️

We’ve had our eyes on this building since the beginning of Astral and we’re so excited to finally be joining the Netil House community! Just a 5 minute walk from both our current studio and London Fields Station, bookings for the end of September and October are now open.

Before & after: a natural and refined approach to under-eye rejuvenation.

For this treatment, Dr Mike used 1ml of Redensity 2, a dermal filler specifically formulated for the delicate under-eye area, to restore volume to the hollow and improve the transition between the lower eyelid and cheek. This helps reduce shadowing while giving the area a brighter, fresher appearance.

A small amount of anti-wrinkle treatment was also placed to soften the appearance of crow’s feet, complementing the result while maintaining natural expression.

Tired of looking tired? Book a consultation with Dr Mike to explore subtle, tailored tweaks designed around your concerns.

Not sure of the best path forward? We offer complimentary telephone consultations with Dr Mike should you wish to have a quick chat about treatment options and suitability before committing. by @astralskinclinic

We’ve been pretty quiet on the gram. If we’re being honest, which we always are, we’ve found the whole space overwhelming.

Every week there’s a new device, a new serum, a new injectable nobody had heard of twelve months ago that everybody’s suddenly offering. Influencers recommending things they were paid to recommend. Clinics chasing whatever’s trending because standing still feels like falling behind. It’s a lot of noise, and most of it isn’t for you. It’s for the algorithm. And profit.

We haven’t got any new shiny treatments to show you. We’re sticking with the classics - anti-wrinkle injections, filler, skin boosters. The ones we know work, know how long they last, and know exactly how they behave in a face. Eighteen years of Dr Mike doing this means he’s had plenty of time to watch trends come and go, and plenty of time to notice how rarely the classics let anyone down.

So that’s where we’ve been. Not chasing the new thing. Just quietly doing the old things properly. by @astralskinclinic

A working list of claims we’ve collected from the wilder corners of our Instagram feed this month.

Do you actually *need* a skin booster? Because not everybody does!

If your skin feels dry, crepey or lacklustre no matter what cream you use or how hydrated you are. If you’ve noticed early signs of aging and want to boost collagen and elastin to tighten things up and slow things down. Or if you’d like to improve your skin tone/texture. Adding a skin booster every six months is a fantastic tool.

If however you’re in your twenties, already have a glowing complexion and everything is where it should be, while it won’t do any harm, it’s probably an unnecessary extra. Wear sunscreen and keep doing what you’re doing.

If you’d like to discuss whether a skin booster treatment is the right choice for you, drop us a message for a complimentary telephone or email consultation.
