six months.

so much can change in half a year if you actually make a conscious decision to change.

it’s easy to stay on autopilot, running the same days on repeat because they feel safe. but nothing new grows from staying comfortable.

will it feel uncomfortable? probably at first. but most things worth having require you to do things you’ve never done before. if it were easy, everyone would be doing it.

we’re already most of our way through 2026. you can spend the next six months wishing, or you can start building the version of yourself you actually want to become.

i’m 27 and i’m not afraid to admit that:

1. i’ve gone from playing piano at Carnegie Hall to working at an AI startup to wiping down hospital beds at 6am. some days that feels like range. some days it feels like i lost the plot. i still can’t tell you which one it is.

2. i’m scared i peaked in college. i did things back then i’m still proud of, and part of me worries the best chapter already closed while i wasn’t looking.

3. i lost a lot of friends over the years. some drifted, some i let go, some who let go of me. i’ve stopped trying to figure out which hurt more.

4. i’ve lost 13,000 followers across platforms the same way i lost friends. quietly, and more than i’d like to admit. i pretend i don’t notice. i notice.

5. i don’t have a five year plan. everyone seems to have one. i’m still just trying to get the next year right, and some weeks even that feels like a lot.

6. i gained weight and i don’t love how i look in photos. the weird part is i feel better in my head than i have in a long time. the outside and the inside don’t always match up, and i’m learning to be okay with that.

7. i feel pressure to provide for my family. it means everything to me, and it wears me down more than i let on. i carry it because i want to, not because it’s light.

i’m not trying to have it all figured out. i’m just trying to be a little more honest than i was yesterday, and maybe that counts for something.
