Spectral Lines Salon presents:

Under Drifting Suns

works by
Stacy Mehrfar @stacymehrfar & Jillian McDonald @jillianmmcdonald

curated by Elisabeth Smolarz @elisabethsmolarz

Opening Reception, Friday 6/20, 7pm
682 Woodward Ave, Queens, NY 11385

Solstice lecture performance by Astro Yenta @astro.yenta & Chain of Spirit @chainofspirit , 8pm

In Under Drifting Suns, the world is seen askew—bent by migration, memory, and celestial glitch.
Through photography and video, Stacy Mehrfar and Jillian McDonald chart unstable terrains where home, body, and place dissolve into otherworldly light.

Together, the artists invite us to inhabit a world of drifting suns—where orientation falters, gravity loosens, and meaning migrates. In this shared space, viewers are gently pushed to linger in uncertainty, to see through the lens of estrangement, and to consider what remains luminous when everything else begins to shift.

Under Drifting Suns is on view between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox. by @astro.yenta

Pluto in Aquarius. Dwarf planet in size but not in importance. This is the trailer for us to see where you will be for the next few decades of our lives. June 11th we will be running back to our previous houses to grab what was forgotten about or missed during its long stay. But in November of 2024, it will be out the door for good, not seeing Capricorn again for another 248 years.
See what Pluto whispers in your ear when you’re being quiet and still and focus on the area of your life that the Aquarius house lights up.
It will give you a sense for what’s to come in a big picture, “zoomed out in your plane seat in the sky” sort of way. 🌎🌍🌏 #plutoinaquarius #plutoinaquarius2023 #astrologymemes #astroyenta #pluto image @nasa Glowing enhanced NASA telescope image of the dwarf planet Pluto with peach purple and blue tones against a a black background taken in Planet Pluto by @astro.yenta
