I honestly can't wait for the upcoming Life Is Strange series! Ever since I played the original game back in 2015 I have been desperate for it to get a tv adaptation and now here we are, 11 years later, and filming has just wrapped!

@tatumgracehopkins and @maisystella seem like the perfect Max & Chloe and I can't wait to see them both bring new life to these iconic characters.

Ranking all 30 Resident Evil games:

30 - Resident Evil: Gaiden (2001)

Gaiden is one of the two Resident Evil games that I have unfortunately never played before, so it seems only right to place it at the bottom of my ranking. It was exclusive to the Game Boy Color and the story isn't canon to the rest of the RE universe so I never really had the urge to hunt it down, especially considering its quite an expensive game these days, costing anywhere between £200 - £300

It stars Leon Kennedy and Barry Burton (a team up that I would love to see happen one day in an actual canon game) as they investigate a cruise ship rumored to be carrying a new weapon developed by Umbrella. It has an interesting premise and elements from the game end up being used for Resident Evil: Revelations over ten years later.

✅️ Game 33 (2026)

🎮 Halloween: The Game

This game has been out for just over a month and I have played quite alot of the multiplayer mode which I'm really enjoying so far! Its less chaotic than Texas Chainsaw Massacre (which I also loved) and more in line with what the Friday The 13th game felt like. Really looking forward to the Halloween 5 content thats releasing soon.

A few days ago I finally started the story mode which lets you play through the events of the original 1978 movie as Michael Myers, with one chapter in particular giving you the option to recreate alot of iconic moments which I really loved. It also acts sort of like a tutorial mode for playing as Michael and teaches you alot of things that are valuable to know for the multiplayer which is of course the main part of the game. Overall I enjoyed the campaign and despite being short it offers alot of replayability through challenges and collectibles.

As some of you know, Resident Evil is my all time favourite video game franchise! I watched my dad play the original games when I was a kid and I instantly became fascinated by them and started playing them myself. Since then I have been a massive fan of the franchise and have played almost every game on release day.

As we are approaching the end of Resident Evil's 30th Anniversary year I figured now would be a good time to finally try and rank the entire franchise. It is something I have always struggled to do because of how vastly different some of the games are. That along with both nostalgia for the older titles and recency bias for the new releases makes it quite difficult to rank 30 years worth of Resident Evil, which funnily enough also amounts to a total of 30 games.

Starting today I will be doing my best to rank them individually, sharing some thoughts I have about that specific title and showing some images from the game.

🏆 Platinum 191 - Momento

This was an easy enough platinum that basically comes naturally assuming you want to see all of the different endings and scenarios. Im not sure I'll hit my target of 200 platinums by the end of the year but I will definitely try!

✅️ Game 32 (2026)

🎮 Momento

Momento is a narrative driven room decorator game that caught my attention due to how similar it seemed to the game 'Unpacking' but the biggest difference here is that you get to shape the story depending on which momentos you choose in each chapter, which then determines how the characters life will play out. This offers alot of replayability with multiple endings to see and new puzzles to discover.

Overall I enjoyed it, the puzzles were simple and the branching storyline was unique but at the same time, replaying it multiple times over did end up feeling repetitive even though its extremely short.

🏆 Platinum 190 - Croc: Legend Of The Gobbos

KERSPLAT-INUM! This was such a fun trophy list, most of the trophies are for fully exploring, finding all collectibles, unlocking secret levels etc but there were a handful of time trial trophies that were a little tricky to perfect but nothing too serious! So happy that the game got a "Platinum edition" update that added trophies! Roll on Croc 2 later this month 🐊💎

✅️ Game 31 (2026)

🎮 Croc: Legend Of The Gobbos

One of my favourite games from my childhood that I really enjoyed revisiting again with the new remaster. Despite waiting over two years for my physical copy to be delivered, I have finally played and finished it in time for the remaster of Croc 2 which releases at the end of this month!

Croc is a fun and charming platformer game similar to the likes of Astro Bot, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro The Dragon. While its quite a short game, there's alot of fun to be had across its 40+ levels, with boss fights, collectibles and secret/bonus areas to discover.

📸 Silent Hill: Townfall

Some shots I took during my time with Townfall! The game is visually stunning and I couldn't help but stop every few moments to take some new photos. The UK setting really was perfect for a Silent Hill game.

✅️ Game 30 (2026)

🎮 Silent Hill: Townfall

Silent Hill: Townfall was a great experience and possibly one of my favourite Silent Hill games. The atmosphere and sound design were masterful and the new Scotland setting was incredible. It felt so relatable for me which made it even scarier and more realistic.

I'll admit that I found the story a little hard to follow at times which made it harder to get invested in, but thats usually the case with Silent Hill games so I kind of expected it. Aside from one particular forced stealth section (iykyk), I really loved every second of this! Will probably do a New Game+ playthrough to try and unlock some of the other endings.
