This New Moon in Libra is a balancing act between the tensions of Mars and Venus in a potent square. The metaphor is deep: the feminine in her underworld journey of reclaiming her power through a meticulous review of where she has given it away, and the masculine challenged to live by the pure fire of nobility rather than his egoic desires. These are both principles of your psyche as an individual, pulling the fibers of yourself into new perspectives of humility or reaction. Virgo, Vestal Virgin of the eternal flame, pure light that raises the standard of living to a heightened consciousness while remaining grounded in the mundane.

There is something special about this moon and season. It feels favorable, like a nod to all your hard work and sincere efforts to better yourself, your family, your community, etc.

A moon that says thank you for showing up, your coach in the corner as you refresh and recharge before re-entering the ring.

On this moon, I visited several Buddhist temples, receiving blessings from the temple of the Medicine Buddha and one dedicated to the discovery of the meaning of being born as human beings.

I sense a pervasive cultural encouragement to continue the path of daily refinement through dedication, practice, and devotion as one such meaning.

Mercury, our mind and how we speak it, shifts from Virgo into Libra, as the focus from the details of tedium merges into the relational layers of being. Mercury guides our attention toward our relationships with others and the balance of life needed to maintain them.

Meanwhile, Venus enters Scorpio, inviting us beneath the obvious into the places where intimacy, value, fears, and attachment reveal an underworld perspective.

In this Virgo season, also ruled by Mercury, themes of digestion are on the rise, and I am viscerally in a process of digesting my life transitions.

How are you navigating your digestion of the current state of affairs?

Virgo’s homeostasis is well-being, a healthy lifestyle, and an inclination to keep everything in its right place.

That is the goal for us on all levels of mind, body, heart, and spirit, and one way to support the embodiment of the meaning of being born as a human being as well.

It has been a very wild and rigorous post-eclipse ride out. The reverberations have been strong, while the Mars/Saturn square tension has built to burst.

How you experienced this week is determined by many factors. For example, where Mars transits your chart, but most importantly, Saturn. Saturn retrograde in Aries is an Instant Pot on low, where the pressure builds, as does the heat, cooking something over the course of the next few months on a foundational level of your psyche.

You are being restructured in this area: a reset, a new beginning, and some of the density still needs to be forged in the flames of Aries. Mars turns up the heat in this time, and, as many of you have witnessed in your own lives, something’s gotta give.

For me, and I want to hear from you, the lead-up to this lunar eclipse has been nothing less than Extraordinary. So, please share… how has it been for you? Could you write a memoir of the last 2 weeks alone? And what type of electric-shock therapy has been revealed in your life?
This Uranus Square is perfectly timed, indicating a plot twist or twists that are certain to shake you up and pivot your life into a new or more aligned direction than anticipated.
The surprise factor is strong here; I am living this too. With this eclipse in my 12th house, the Neptunian themes are running strong with the Virgo and Mercurial sunlight illuminating the Piscean shadows. A Mercury cazimi through a Mercury-ruled Virgo Sun brings news, message, insight, revelation from the overturned stones in the unconscious.

Old stories that haven’t yet completed are letting us know that it is time to cross the finish line. Previous projects and possibilities shelved for a future date are knocking at the door with invitation.
There is always a cost to crossing a threshold. An old way of being, a final attachment to the past, the last tears of suffering, a promise to let go. The new is surging upward, pressing up through the concrete with unapologetic tenacity.
This very potent 2-week window is a continuation of the new Aquarius/Leo eclipse season and marks the finale of the Piscean eclipses during the Pisces/Virgo period of the last 18 months. One more Virgo eclipse to go next February. Wherever Pisces and Virgo live in your chart, meaning what realms or houses they occupy, will give you the clue to the closure you are working toward with all your might. Loving the freedom this eclipse promises. Freedom from the grip of the ego that infiltrates the space of mind and heart, suffocating creative fire.
