Transit Oriented Communities: The next iteration of our co-living prototype expands on our understanding of common space, re-imagining it as a ‘Third Place’ for members and guests to socialize outside of their work and domestic life. Workforce Housing: Just as important as the design of buildings is the design of the space between buildings. Featured in our Fontana project is a linear & connective series of outdoor spaces that include a swimming pool, tot lot, dog lawn, bocce ball area, bbq area, garden, and lounge. We believe that varied & intimate gathering spaces enhance the daily lived experiences of our tenants through opportunities for social interaction and engagement with nature.

Workforce Housing: WIP proposal for 90 apartment units in Fontana, CA. This project is among one of the first developments in the city’s history to provide R-5 density. The design features a clean, modern aesthetic that is punctuated with a brise soleil shading system and carefully integrated, native planting that connects tenants to the natural environment. by @asulon.design

Transit Oriented Communities: Each co-living tenant is provided their own furnished bedroom suite with a full bathroom. This hybrid mode of living takes cues from hospitality, where privacy and individual amenities are carefully integrated into the design of the space.

Transit Oriented Communities: We believe that density does not need to come at the expense of space and comfort. Each of our four and five bedroom co-living units contain a large and spacious, fully-furnished living & dining area. One of our core guiding principles is to design from the inside out; warmth and comfort is accentuated by bringing in natural light.

Transit Oriented Communities: Central to the design of our co-living project is the building common space. It provides both a place to gather as well as offer a place of reprieve from the chaos of the day. The organic modern design and the incorporation of wabi-sabi aesthetic principles provides a space that is both warm and unexpected.

Transit Oriented Communities: Our co-living project in West Adams seeks to leverage density incentives (TOC) and building efficiency to provide housing that is affordable to the masses. Where 12 units was once the limit on a lot for this zone, 21 co-living units are proposed with the goal of providing a high quality of living at a rate that is sustainable for the local workforce i.e. 25% of median income per month. by @asulon.design
