A lot can change in two years. 🥹🤍

Same beach, same sweet friendships, just bigger kids and a whole lot of life lived in between.

From summer beach camping to fall break in Oceanside, these California trips have given us some of the sweetest memories.

There she goes… 🤍

Fall break looks a little different when you have a senior in the house. A little beach time, time with friends, a couple college tours, and a chance to start imagining what might be next.

Westmont was such a sweet first stop. Averi got to practice with the track team, meet the pole vault coach and some of the girls, attend chapel, and reconnect with a former Valley Christian classmate.

We’re very much just exploring, asking questions, praying, dreaming, and enjoying the journey along the way.

Such a fun afternoon cheering on our Sky Guy. 🗽🤍

He was nominated for the sophomores for HOCO, and today we got to watch him walk the runway with his partner and find out they were voted to represent their class tonight. 🥹

So glad we could be there for it. I love getting to watch this kid have fun, step into his own, and make these memories.

From days of dress up and nightly snuggles listening to your favorite song and Bible stories to days filled with gymnastics, pole vault and friends and now talking about life on Black Rock runs I am blessed beyond words to be your dad.

I’m not proud of you or love you because of all you’ve done and accomplished (though it’s been a lot!), but because of who you are… Your heart and love for life and the people in it is so amazing!! NEVER stop being you, you’re going places kid and I couldn’t be prouder!

Every other Monday morning, we do things a little differently.

Nine holes somewhere around the Valley. Nothing fancy, usually a cheap course, and nobody out here is worried about making the PGA Tour. 😂

The golf is really just the excuse.

It gives us a couple hours to get outside, laugh, talk about life, encourage each other, talk through what’s happening in the market, and maybe solve a few real estate problems along the way.

We’ve got newer agents, experienced agents, developers, everybody out here together.

Different personalities. Different businesses. Different seasons of life.

But that’s kind of the point.

We’re competitive enough to talk a little trash, but these mornings aren’t really about the scorecard.

They’re about relationships.

Nine holes. Breakfast. Good conversations. A few terrible golf shots.

Then back to work.

A little marker in time. 🤍

So much is changing in this season. Kids growing up, senior year, new beginnings, more independence, and all of us figuring out what’s next.

I keep coming back to this. I don’t want to miss the life that’s happening while we’re busy planning the next thing.

I want to be present. To love these people well. To keep growing. To use our time, resources and gifts for what matters.

We definitely do not do this perfectly. 😂 There are meaningful conversations and intentional moments, and also a lot of “what’s for dinner?”, “who’s going to the grocery store?” and the very important question, “when are we going back to the beach?” ☀️

But I trust that God is in all of it. The big milestones, the ordinary days, and the things we’re still trying to make sense of.
